Howdy, luvie.
Nice that you had some clouds today. Would have been nicer if they’d dropped some rain.
I got some surprise rain before I went to bed last night. They’d said it would be primarily north of here but a line moved through and gave us a dose.
Hey there, radu!
Yes, it would have been nice to have the rain with the clouds, but overall, I’ll take the clouds over bright sunlight right now. It warms things up more than I want at this time of the year. π
Bravo that you got some surprise rain last night. I know y’all need it, too, and maybe that’ll encourage that winter wheat to brighten up. :)
Evening, Luvie. Thanks for honoring our servicemen & women.
Clouds are better than nothing. Probably gave y’all a pleasant day.
It was nice here with 75 degrees when I was out this afternoon. Just a little breeze and it felt good. Didn’t even need a sweater or jacket.
They predict storms late tomorrow afternoon - - fortunately after I get home from the Republican women’s meeting.
Last night’s rain did make the wheat across the road jump a bit and it’s much greener over there now.
You’re very welcome. Kathy did all the work. I just posted it for her.
Thank YOU for being here.
It was very pleasant. You and I had very similar temperatures today. Right now we’re a bit higher than you at about 66.
Tomorrow’s high is supposed tobe about 71 with a 70% chance of rain. I’ll believe it when I feel it. LOL! I’m glad yours starts late so you don’t have to drive in it. That’s no fun.
Yay for the greener wheat after the rain.
If your temp was close to mine, yes, it was very pleasant.
Tomorrow’s supposed to be in the mid 60s. Back into low 70s Friday with another chance for rain. It shouldn’t cool off too much more tonight since we have clouds helping to hold some heat in.
Temps wont be too bad through next Wed. After that, it’ll feel like Fall/early winter. Just in time for Thanksgiving.
I hope tomorrow’s rain does hold off. I have one stop to make on the way home and really don’t feel like getting soaked. There’ll be enough wind to make an umbrella kinda useless, but I at least have a long raincoat.
I didn’t think to take a close look at the fields here as I left this afternoon to see if anything’s coming up. I was a little preoccupied, and it was getting dark when I got home. I should take a flashlight out and check tonight. I’m still wondering if Dusty’s crew planted wheat when they were here a couple of weeks ago. Unless I walk up to it, I don’t know if the little bit of green I CAN is wheat or weeds.
I can’t wrap my head around the fact of Thanksgiving being NEXT WEEK. It’s been such a long year...it still seems as though it should be weeks away from the major holiday season.
I think we’re going to have steak for Thanksgiving dinner. Hubby hates turkey, and besides, we already have the steak on hand. Who wants to shop at ANY store Thanksgiving week!
I guess if Dusty planted wheat, then with all the wonderful rain you’re having, it’s going to be very cheerful around there.
A bunch of my new oxalises have come up, and the pansies are looking very smiley, so that’ll help my mood when there are no green leaves and no green grass. Except maybe some of the St. Augustine.
In some ways, it feels like it’s been a long year but in others, it feels like it’s gone by pretty fast.
I have no plans for Thanksgiving supper other than an ear of that yummy corn in the freezer will be part of it. It’s just me so no point in going all out. To make the day feel special, I put the Christmas decorations out that night.
They DID plant wheat. It’s only an inch tall now and that’s why I can’t see it from any distance. Makes me feel a little better about the upcoming winter, knowing there’ll be green outside the windows.
Gizmo got his monthly heart worm pill and got to meet Ringo at the vet yesterday.

How's everyone doing this morning?
