Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman committed his country to increasing his planned investment into the U.S. economy to nearly $1 trillion over the next year on Tuesday.

MBS made the announcement while meeting with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office, saying the investments will take place across the U.S. economy. Trump initially stated that the investment would amount to "at least" $600 billion, but the Saudi leader confirmed the higher amount during his remarks.

“Today and tomorrow, we are going to announce that we are going to increase that, that $600 billion to almost $1 trillion of investment, real investment and real opportunity in many areas," he said.

Yet another “pledge”.

There have been many of these. Haven’t seen many articles on ground breaking or ribbon cutting funded from them.

“Haven’t seen many articles on ground breaking or ribbon cutting funded from them.”

President Trump has been in office less than a year.

As strange as it may seem, it takes time and planning to spend a trillion dollars wisely.

Love flyovers. Well it’s fitting. Of all the various “red carpet” welcomes foreign countries have given Trump, theirs seem to have been the most extravagant. In both Trump’s first and second terms.

Here was Trump’s motorcade being escorted by guards on Arabian horses to the palace:

(By contrast with Biden, I don’t think they pulled all the stops.)

Why?
Its their money. They decide where it goes...for maximum returns...like everyone else.

Poster Owen has no idea how big is ONE TRILLION. May be he understands one million dollars. A Trillion is one million times one million. Or one thousand Billions.
Or 1,000,000,000,000.00 dollars.

I like all the pomp and circumstance.

But we seem to be on their return path after they do a flyover on the Mall and it’s a little frightening, especially if you weren’t expecting it.

I’d be happy of Governors would stop stealing highway funds for welfare and just pave the damn roads.

They've paid billions for a golf tour that nobody watches... These dudes can burn money and they still won't run out of it. But sadly enough this sounds like the Saudi's want to 'buy' America... And after they own it... Then what happens?

Saudi buying American weapons is obviously more important than the 9/11 attack (organized, financed and carried out by Saudis)

As long as Trump is in office the money will roll in. If JD Vance gets in, a large portion of that money will continue to flow.

If the democrats win in 2028, then yeah, chances are the money flow will dwindle

For maximum returns? More likely for maximum leverage.
