‘You can't eat if you're dead’: Dems eye RFK Jr. as their 2026 boogeyman

Inside Democrats’ effort to attack RFK Jr.’s vaccine moves without angering his base.

Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez, a former nurse and CDC epidemic intelligence service officer running for governor, has called on Kennedy to resign and told POLITICO she’s encountered a lot of voters who are worried about losing access to vaccines due to his policies.

Amy Acton, the former head of the Ohio Health Department now running for governor, also cited conversations with voters “very, very scared of the reckless, chaotic health decisions being made” by Kennedy. And several Democrats said that even when they don’t proactively bring up Kennedy in press releases, speeches, and conversations while knocking on doors, voters do it for them.

“It’s remarkable to me the number of people who randomly come up to me and say, ‘Thank you for standing up to RFK Jr.,” said Sen. Tina Smith (D-Minn.), who is running for reelection.

Annie Andrews, a pediatrician challenging Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), said that while she finds voters are more focused on rising health insurance costs and less on Kennedy’s vaccine moves, she still feels an obligation to address the latter.

“RFK Jr. has only been in this position for less than 11 months, but the damage he has done already will take us decades, as health care professionals and public health professionals, to recover from — even if he were to resign today,” she said.

Some candidates, including Mark Downey, a pediatrician who won a seat in the Virginia House of Delegates last week, found speaking out against Kennedy to be a net positive even if it turned off some Make American Healthy Again acolytes.

“I’ve had people ask me what I think of RFK Jr., and when I say, ‘I disagree with a lot of his statements and policies,’ some people...

“Losing Access” == “losing other people paying for”

They are just upset because they consider him a traitor. It has nothing to do with his policies.

I cannot stand woke nurses.
They are a scourge and cannot be trusted.
They also know nothing about how vaccines affect the human body.

RFK Jr has done NOTHING, not one single blessed thing, that would reduce anyone's access to vaccines.

Not making them mandatory is not banning them. Sheesh......

When Ronald Reagan was seriously injured by gunfire he joked to the emergency room doctors that he hoped they were Republicans.

Several surveys I’ve referred to in the past here show that most nurses and medical assistants are Dems and most in several types of MD specialties are Dems.

I fear going to the wrong ones due to the intensity of the woke prejudice trends.

Specialty: There are significant differences across medical fields.
Heavily Democratic: Specialties such as pediatrics, psychiatry, and infectious disease tend to be majority Democratic.
Heavily Republican: Surgical specialties, including orthopedic surgery, urology, and anesthesiology, tend to be majority Republican.
Age: Younger physicians and medical students are more likely to be Democrats, while older doctors are more likely to be Republicans.
Gender: As more women enter the medical field, and women tend to lean Democrat generally, this may contribute to the overall shift toward the Democratic party within the profession.
Income: Higher-earning specialties tend to have more Republican doctors, while relatively lower-paying fields tend to have more Democrats.
Practice Type: Historically, physicians operated as small-business owners, drawing them to Republican ideals of lower taxes and less regulation. Now, more doctors are employees of large hospital systems, which may influence a shift toward the Democratic party.

A 2025 analysis of medical students, residents, and fellows found that over three-quarters of respondents identified as Democrats. —————————————————————————

RFK, Jr. could easily run for president in 2028 as an independent. The Rats don’t want him and he knows it.

I say they lie. Considering the number of dead persons found to be getting SNAP benefits it seems you can indeed eat if you are dead.

Amy Acton is a whiney little bitch who was DeWines covid expert. I got sick and tired of hearing this little bitch talk. Her covid advice was for retards. Damn Maskerbaters. This is from the same ohio health department that said the covid shot had similar ingredients to a snickers and a coke .

I’ve always thought that Trump gave Kennedy his position as a reward for Kennedy abandoning his run for President and throwing his support to Trump. I don’t really think that he was put in his position because he was the best choice. Sometimes Trump’s fealty to those who stick with him causes him to make choices that aren’t the best ones. I don’t think that Kennedy as a high government official is best in the long run for the mid-terms or for the country. My two cents.
