Aren’t New Yorkers proud? What an achievement. All because the city that used to be known as “the greatest city on the planet” is now filled with a poisonous mixture of young jobless communists angry at living in their parents’ basement, and foreigners who hate the country they invaded, and want to turn us into the failed third world sh**tholes they just escaped from.
So, I have an idea. “If you can’t beat them, give ‘em what they want.”
Here is how President Trump can win this battle for the soul of America. Stop fighting the communists and Muslim terrorist appeasers. Give them what they want….
President Trump should declare New York City is now a “ILLEGAL ALIEN FREE ZONE.”
My idea is so simple. America- thanks to President Trump- is locked down. The border is secure. And ICE is busy hunting down and deporting illegal aliens from coast to coast. Illegals aren’t safe. They can’t sleep at night. ICE can and will find you wherever you are.
Except New York City.
Let’s agree we won’t touch them there. ... That will encourage every illegal alien left in America to move to NYC if they want to avoid deportation.

Anywhere in America an illegal alien is found, they will be arrested by ICE and deported. But not in Mamdani’s New York. This is their safe space.

Can you imagine what happens when millions of illegal aliens- including MS-13 gangbangers, Tren de Aragua drug traffickers, Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists, and run of the mill murderers, rapists, drug dealers, pedophiles, car-jackers, home invaders, muggers and armed robbers- roam freely on the streets of New York.

Sure, turn the financial capital of the nation into a cartel-run city-wide criminal operation. Just write off the poor conservative & decent liberals innocents that are trapped there. You don’t live there so why should you care.
Nope. No sanctuary cities or any other sort of sanctuary zone.
It might help some, but if the drug and human traffickers find it profitable to have their worker bees in Topeka, KS; Birmingham, AL; Pueblo, CO, etc., they will maintain a presence there. When caught and deported their hierarchy will just send a replacement.
It's like blowing up the drug boats. Yeah, it tightens the supply side, but unless/until the demand side is dealt with, the problem doesn't go away, it just goes deeper underground.
It is not morally right or lawful, but what a GOOD IDEA!

ICE has to prioritize resources. It can’t be everywhere all the time. Prioritize enforcement in other jurisdictions for the next four years. Clean up Chicago, etc.
Mandami campaigned on opposing immigration enforcement. Give him what he and his voters want. It’s what they voted for. A majority of NYC voters want NYC to be a safe zone for foreign invaders. Vindicate Democracy!
By the time Mandami’s term is up — if not before — New Yorkers will be clamoring for ICE enforcement.

My three living siblings all live in New York City. They all have different political outlooks that can be summarized as Joan supports Hillary, Paul is MAGA, and Peter just wants his Social Security check, and may not even be registered to vote.
I left New York in 1980, and cannot image ever moving back. Even just visiting is painful. It used to be stupidly liberal, now it is dangerously so.
There will just be someone else to blame.
You’re right, I don’t live there either and I don’t give a F. Everyone is free to leave if they don’t like it.
We cannot keep writing off some of the greatest places in the world to the bad guys.
Losing California is bad enough. If we write off NYC, and the place gets overrun with illegals, that frees up more bad guys to mess up other places. We have to find ways to get these places back in play. I am no Giuliani fan, but he has turned into a loyal Republican and was a competent NYC mayor. It wasn’t THAT long ago, and when Dinkins got in, we all thought it had to be that way forever.
Trump is the beginning of a movement that is a successor to the Goldwater-Reagan movement. We cannot make it as Rural only, or even Rural-Exurban. At some point we have to be able to make a pitch to urban dwellers. If value-laden conservatives don’t do it, the Groypers may inherit it when the dam breaks, and that won’t be pretty.
