U.S. Catholic bishops voted Wednesday to make official a ban on gender-affirming care for transgender patients at Catholic hospitals. The step formalizes a yearslong process for the U.S. church to address transgender health care.
From a Baltimore hotel ballroom, the bishops overwhelmingly approved revisions to their ethical and religious directives that guide the nation's thousands of Catholic health care institutions and providers.

Good for them.
It’s time someone stood up to the overgrown toddlers temper tantrums.
I notice that it revolves around gender affirming care, not just run of the mill care of a tranny. It’s simply not enabling, encouraging, and participating in their delusions by providing transition related medical services.
No doubt the next step is lawsuits. Count on it that some tranny will pick that hospital for some kind of medical emergency for the sole purpose of ligating and trying to force the issue through litigation and the courts ala Christian baker style.
Late to the party.
NPR had to hate having to report this. As time passes, and the old hippie bishops retire or die, the USCCB is slowly becoming more conservative, a trend reflected in the increasing interest among young men, especially.
Yeah, but it did happen.
Sort of as an aside, I saw a social media post about the lobotomized Rosemary Kennedy, sister of Ted and John and Bobby et al.
Many of the comments were about “that’s how they shut up strong women back then” and “this is barbaric” and “I can’t believe this was an accepted practice” and “I’m glad we don’t do this anymore.”
Then someone wrote “in 20 years, we will be saying the same things about giving minors gender reassignment surgery.”
The ensuing Donnybrook was a sight to see.
I can understand, or at least pity, the secular administrators who bowed to political pressure and did things they knew to be wrong. Giving up your career for a bunch of confused kids that you don’t even know would take moral courage.
But now, making the choice when the repercussions have been diminished, if not eliminated, makes the former accommodation stand out prominently.
They need to make room for all the illegals who will be coming in response to their anti-Trump, open borders resolution.
Good. But surprising it took this long.
From what I’ve read, the ban on “transgender treatments” (whatever that entails) at Catholic medical centers has been standard policy for a long time, but this just makes it official.
Still, they sure waited a long time. My guess is that they didn’t want to run into any expensive tangles with the aggressively pro-”trans” Biden administration. Now, prohibitions on public/government funding for these Frankenstein procedures are public policy federally under Trump. Thank God!
It is not gender affirming care; it is gender denying mutilation!
