The Trump Organization requested 184 foreign workers to work across various company properties, a record number that has increased over the years.
The company sought to hire workers through H-2A and H-2B visas for temporary positions at Mar-a-Lago, two golf clubs and at Trump Vineyard Estates in Charlottesville, Va., according to data from the Department of Labor.

Anyone else feel like we got bait and switched? Sure, I approve of some of the things he’s done and he’s definitely better than Kamala but he’s not better than 2017 Trump on any level.

I’m putting this down to carelessness more than anything deliberate.
Nevertheless, more than one good program has died through a death of a thousand cuts. It would be a great tragedy for the county if MAGA ended up that way.

The way the Charlie Kirk assassination investigation has gone full Oswald has cast a shadow over the whole administration. The H1B and 600k Chinese students is just another thumb in our eye.
H-2B - Employer Requirements: Before a foreign worker can apply, the U.S. employer must obtain a Temporary Labor Certification from the Department of Labor, confirming that not enough U.S. workers are available for the job and that hiring foreign workers will not negatively impact local wages or working conditions.
Seems like a lot of work to go through to hire for temp positions. Maybe they could pay $20-35 for Americans and it would make up for it in reduced paperwork and government red tape.
I know there's no shortage of experienced servers, clerks, housekeepers, kitchen staff in FL due to the tourism but maybe they're all employed. With FL being a melting pot within a melting pot, you can even find these types of workers who speak English plus most any other language you can think of, especially Espanol.
I just don't get it.

Those are mostly seasonal positions that American college students could very well fill.
No reason for luxury resorts, of all places, to be granted permission to pay below the current American labor rates, which are already seriously depressed from all the illegal immigrant labor.
No better way to destroy opposition from the right than to put one of “theirs” in to blow things up.
MAGA means putting America First. Top priority over everything else. Trump is accomplishing some positive things but doesn’t seem to be as intensely focused on MAGA as many of his voters had hoped. At times he seems more interested in hobnobbing with foreign con artists, being engaged in various international conflicts and disputes, the design details of White House expansion and adornments, building NFL stadiums, and other such distractions. If he and the GOP don’t sharpen their focus on what matters to the average American (i.e., the forgotten man) there will be big losses in the mid-terms and a huge setback for MAGA.
You work overtime to do as much damage to Trump as you can, in fact you seem desperate to bring him down. I don’t understand it, what do you hope to gain? Who do you think would do a better job? WTF is your end game? Or are you one of those freaks that just want to watch the country burn?

I tend to agree. MAGA candidates won’t lose solid conservatives.
But they well might lose a good chunk of working class folks. And it’s those people in the middle who will ultimately decide elections.
I think Trump is pretty much on track. But some things just look bad, and he’s got to be more careful about that. Otherwise, it’s a death of a thousand cuts - as I mentioned earlier.
