Two companies in Ukraine have been supplying an Iranian state-owned military manufacturer with key parts for drones, the US Treasury Department said on Wednesday.
The Office of Foreign Assets Control said in a statement that it was placing sanctions on GK Imperativ and Ekofera, two Ukraine-based companies.
The firms are accused of being fronts for Iranian procurement agents who were supplying aerospace parts to the Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company, or HESA.
HESA manufactures the Shahed-136, which Russia has been using to hammer Ukraine, and the Ababil UAV.

“Z” has long range drones. He does NOT need our Tomahawks.
ROFLMAO
Business Insider is a far left site. I take their articles with appropriate skepticism.
If true, good those Iranian front operations were found out.
Further, the Ukrainian drones are having great success. Daily they are striking refineries, pump stations, railroads and yards, military product factories, and oil ports.
The drones are cheap, precise, and evade the poor Russian air defenses.
Yep, sounds about as retarded as one would expect for this ridiculous, pointless war.
I agree.
And the two companies were probably funded by ...USAID.
The business and necessities of war. Foreign sales are part of building and sustaining a domestic military industry. The U.S. has been using foreign sales of its military equipment for decades, to help boost its domestic military industrial companies, and without those sales they may not have become as competitive as they are today, Those sales have also included deals with some unsavory regimes as well. Why, when it’s fighting for its existence should it be different for Ukraine???
Because they are selling parts for the drones that are hitting them.
War is hell and makes strange bedfellows.
