Arizona Democrat Adelita Grijalva was sworn in to the House Wednesday after a record 50-day wait, vowing to immediately join an effort to disclose files related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Grijalva had expressed no special interest in the Epstein case prior to her Sept. 23 election. But she became intertwined in the fate of a bipartisan effort to disclose Justice Department files related to the disgraced financier after it became clear she could provide the final necessary signature on a discharge petition forcing a House vote on the matter.

The Massie-Khanna bill, known as the Epstein Files Transparency Act, would require the Justice Department to “publicly disclose all unclassified records, documents, communications, and investigative materials in its possession that relate to Epstein,” the convicted sex offender who died in prison in 2019 or his co-conspirator, Maxwell, who is currently serving a prison sentence.
The bill contains some limited exemptions, including for personally identifiable information of victims and for classified information.
It is expected to pass the House, but it still would need to clear the GOP-controlled Senate and be signed by the president to become law, which is unlikely.

What will they complain about next when there isn’t a list of celebrity names saying how much they enjoy sex with hookers? Go back to Russia Gate stuff?
Still waiting for someone who is screaming for release to explain to me why he or she thinks that the same Deep State that staged a coup and has tried to kill Trump at least twice would leave his admin reliable files?!
How about protetions for the wrongfully accused? They will never be able to face the accusations. They will never be able to recover their reputations.
If the information is released by a victim, the victim is liable if the information is wrong. If the government releases it, but without fully verifying it, the accused becaomes a victim of the government.
Biden’s DOJ/FBI had these files in their custody for 4 years. Does anyone actually believe the same FBI that staged fake documents in Mar-A-Lago photos would not alter or concoct false documents to harm Trump? Or that they would not destroy any documents that would exonerate him or hurt Democrats?
Paid Massie poster promoting your favorite Trump hater .
You love all the radical Leftist site like this Dem newsletter and the Shill .
Massie is going down Paul Cultist .
You need to be zapped for your trashing of Trump and peddling
Dems like this evil
thing and that ridiculous Epstein crap the Dems like your pal Massie is using to stop Trump .
What kind of an accomplishment is this, exactly? So he's aligned with the Dem caucus to get something passed? That's supposed to impress us?
Also this appears to be a clear violation of the Separation of Powers doctrine - so much for him being a "constitutionalist."
Doesn’t matter. The information everyone really wants to see is court sealed. Massie is setting congress up for a pissing match with the courts while clearly being in the wrong.
So many are so clueless.
Great question.
I love the smell of desperation in the morning.
Only morons like Massie believe it
Its happened like 14 times in your history
I’d say it should impress you
You aren’t responding to the questions being asked...and you know that.
And if they had anything on Trump himself, they would have used it already.
Great, he is going after President Trump again. Get back to me when he does something to support President Trump and/or Republicans.
Plus they already asked a court to release them and the judge refused.
