The former president made the comment while recalling one of his final moments with Beau, who died in 2015 from brain cancer
Joe Biden says his late son Beau Biden “should have been the president” instead of him.
The statement came as the former president, 82, spoke at the Nebraska Democratic Party’s annual Ben Nelson Gala on Friday, Nov. 7. While addressing the crowd in Omaha, Joe called out President Donald Trump for the ongoing government shutdown and for cutting healthcare — a topic near to his family.
Joe, who completed radiation treatments for prostate cancer last month, got quiet and visibly emotional at one point during the speech as he reflected on a moment he shared with Beau, who died in 2015 at age 46 from brain cancer.
“Folks, I know what cancer research means. Cancer hits every family. It hit my family hard, just as so many of yours,” Joe said, according to footage of his speech shared by outlet APT. He continued, “When the love of my life, my oldest son, the attorney general of the state of Delaware, who should have been the president, not me, volunteered to go to Iraq for a year — he didn't have to — came back with stage 4 glioblastoma because he lived near the burn pit, just like those guys in 9/11, and he died. I remember him calling me aside.”

Then democrats called out fellow democrats for voting with Republicans to end the shutdown.
Can’t make this stuff up.
If Donald Trump discovered a serum to cure all cancers while working through the night, democrats would lambaste him for putting oncologists and pharmaceutical companies out of business.
Between the two corpses being president, his son would truly have been better.
Still dragging his dead son around the stage. I’ve never heard anything about Beau being a lowlife crook like the rest of the family. It’s seems unlikely that he’d be different than literally all the other adults in the family but I’m willing to assume he was relatively clean as I’ve never heard otherwise
Beau is probably still voting so not all is lost for the Biden crime family.

It's the reason why he pretty clearly didn't really care one iota about all the servicepeople who died in the Afghanistan withdrawal fiasco.

At a remote summer vacation home my job every day was to put any flammable garbage in a 55 gal drum and burn it. That was 60 years ago. I don’t believe the “burn pit” theory of cancer, especially when coming from the slobbering mouth of the biggest liar since Obama.
