“I think it’s a terrible mistake,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) told reporters Sunday evening, signaling she’d vote no. If Pocahontas is against it...

Eight Democrats joined with a majority of Republicans to get the final vote count to 60. Those Democrats were Dirk Durbin of Illinois, Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire, Angus King of Maine (technically an Independent but caucuses with the Democrats), Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada, Tim Kaine of Virginia, Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire, John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, and Jacky Rosen of Nevada.

If Dick "head" Durbin voted for it, there's something massively wrong with the bill to reopen it.
Dick "head" Durbin was one of my two Senators until last Friday when I moved out of Illinois and to the FREE STATE of TENNESSEE!
YEE HAW!!
Hasta la vista Dick "head" Durbin!

She wants $35 BILLION of our money going to insurance providers, with no accountability for how much they will change for premiums, and for it to go on for another year.
Yes, anything she is for, is a safe bet that it will hurt working taxpayers.

So the bass turds stole 2020 but we gave the RATS the 2024 election. Goobers need to stop trying to be politicians and take up jobs like dog catchers, car wash vacuum operators and Walmart Greeters. They are out of the league when they try to take on primitives like King Hakeem Skyhook.

Just a minor setback…
“The legislation would, however, require the Trump administration to restore the thousands of federal workers fired during the shutdown during reductions in force (RIF), and it would prevent the president’s Office of Management and Budget from attempting additional layoffs until Jan. 30, 2026.”

RE: Getting the government out of the healthcare system....
My childhood doctor had a sign on his desk “I Am Not A Government Doctor.”
He was in a militia and once carried a rifle to oppose a leftist march around 1966. Cops sided with him so they didn’t arrest him.
He was a major influence on me as I remembered right wing things he told me that helped me oppose the burgeoning trends of SDS and antiwar cretins.
I started as a patient when in the 2nd grade my mother got impatient with our old doctor ignoring my worsening symptoms as “just a cold.” I had rheumatic fever and came close to dying. The new doctor saved me and even gave me house call penicillin shots to save me from being in the hospital.
May he rest in peace in Heaven.

If Dick "head" Durbin voted for it, there's something massively wrong with the bill to reopen it. Agreed. I'd like to see exactly what they voted for tonight before I consider it a win. Were any backroom deals made over the weekend we aren't being told about? I don't trust them. Something made those commicrats suddenly come around.
Welcome to TN. I just hope you didn't choose Nashville because you'll think you're still in IL.

Possibly...though maybe not...given he’s not running for re-election again and isn’t as burdened to please his nutcase base. Shaheen isn’t either.

Unlike regular Americans, they STILL can never be fired !

Every time democrats do something to make healthcare more affordable it does exactly the opposite. Trouble is most citizens are too dumb to know it and the media covers it up.
