Divided by 26 years, that’s 38,462 deaths per year. Still too many but not as scary now, is it?

I listened to Nancy and my old man, but I lost a lot of friends to drugs.
My middle daughter is getting out of the Hospital after 15 days, she OD’d. She was diagnosed as being on long term amphetamine abuse, and had fentanyl in her system.
I saw this coming, she married a dirtbag, he hasn’t worked in over 2.5 years, has false teeth at 41, and a DV charge from his first marriage.
They are living in a van, 12 months after losing the apartment. She vomited, and aspirated. He noticed in the morning, that she was gasping, as only one lung was working.
This stress caused a stroke.
It can happen to anyone, she is a case worker/supervisor for DSHS. Makes $75K+ a year, yet it took one year to lose it all.
I am having a hard time getting named guardian of her, as her Mommy is opposing me. HE LOVES HER, HE REALLY DOES..says the X. She loves him, though she is non-conversant, the kicker argument. Rehab upcoming, but only for Her.
I HATE DRUGS, always have always will.
If as foreign power sent letter bombs that killed a million Americans it would have been destroyed by us. Instead China ships fentanyl precursers to Mexico where it is produced and sent to the USA.
