It’s very simple why the libs gained, the conservatives let them. Trump set up the path, and they didn’t follow it. Conservative politicians are stupid and cowardly.

Just throwing this out there.
What happened.

Un-realistic expectations of a very dis-infranchized voter base in blue states.

In Virginia, loads of pissed-up Trump-hating riffed, furloughed, DOGEd, and s#itcanned former bureaucrats who have been waiting for month.

Or were the elections rigged? Still a possibility in 2025. Are they still using Dominion/Smartmatic voting machines and software?

Virginia is basically a suburb of DC. That pretty much explains it.

By this time next year, the debacle that will be NYC may well push many people to the polls who otherwise wouldn’t care.

Men stayed home. Women came out in droves.

That’s what happened.

How Dramatically Did Women's Suffrage Change the Size and Scope of Government?

Yes. If Trump’s moves improve the economy and NYC crashes, that will clinch the next election.

KISS.

Keep It Simple Stupid.

Trump won in 2024 because lots of voters were angry about 1) high prices and inflation and 2)didn’t want the chosen CommieLa.

I was glad to be rid of the Rats... but people make the mistake of believing ever Trump voter was some kind of true believer.

They’re not.

Heck, *I’m* not. The difference between me and a lot of other Trump voters is that I just wanted to be rid of Democraptastic state control, higher taxes, and ridiculous woke nonsense.

Now, for me? Two out of three ain’t bad, as Meatloaf once sang :-)

But most voters are not Old Boxer from Animal Farm.... you promise prices will come down? You better deliver. They won’t just wait for your “Five Year Plan” to happen.

The best way to salvage the midterms is turn away from this government-run economy. SCOTUS looks likely to present the GOP a gift. EMBRACE it. Carve out specific tariff targets against China? I’m good with that. But - drop the global sledgehammer nonsense. Prices will come down. People will be happy. And they’ll be less likely to do what voters do: “I’m not happy so I’ll vote for the other guy.”

None of these races were even close to being close.

We live in an environment where the media needs to have close races in order to sell advertising. Anyone who had been paying attention over the past few months knew that all of the winners were going to win. There is always a natural “tightening” of the race in the last couple of weeks. The media makes that out to be more significant than it really is.

In the end, you get a lot of surprised faces and disappointed speeches. But the reality is that it is all manufactured as a source of entertainment.

If people fell for it again…shame on them.

Off year election, GOP and RNC were too busy infighting and not promoting.
Media busy doing as they always do, paint psychotic Dems as angels, smear everyone else.

First, black conservatives never win. When will we learn our lesson? Second, next to Maryland, no other state has been impacted by the federal job cuts and federal contractor cuts that Virginia has experienced. Third, the government shut down allowed tens of thousands of federal workers free time to go vote, work the polls, and work the phones to get out the vote. Republicans are at a great handicap in Virginia statewide even in a red wave year. Accordingly, the result in Virginia is hardly surprising. Finally, we would’ve won the Attorney General race had we put up a credible candidate for governor.

Blue states. We were going to lose no matter what.

That said, we would have done slightly better if we chose MAGA candidates who ran on a MAGA message.

Not GOP candidates running on their party platform.

Apparently, 12% of voters in New York City voted in the election. 12%

The voters know the fix is in. Until we have "no one on this ballot", we'll continue to have selections instead of elections.

It wasn’t just the big races in blue states. Dems ran the table across the entire country, including many smaller races in red states that few paid any attention to.
