Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman declared victory Tuesday in his bid for a second consecutive term as Nassau County executive over Democratic challenger and county Legislator Seth Koslow.
We are going to continue the work that we started to make us an even more prosperous county, to bring job creation, economic development, to keep taxes down, support our law enforcement, and continue to make this the best place to live all over New York today,” Blakeman, 70, vowed.
“We have faith in President Trump’s policies,” he added, saying his agenda would follow the commander in chief’s.
Blakeman, who was first elected in 2021, is an ally of Trump who campaigned as the pro-law enforcement candidate.
As an elected official, Blakeman countered the sanctuary policies of many municipalities by pledging to work closely with federal immigration authorities and even striking a deal with ICE to house detainees for the agency in county jail facilities.

Well nice to have a least one victory tonight
Great news! We have to get to purple before we flip the state to completely red.
I guess thats where the 700,000 plus nyc folks will migrate to. /jk
Some will. (They wanna stay close to work.)
Nassau County is a wealthy, old money place. This isn’t a surprise.
😂
In all honesty; yes. Every win counts. Always a silver lining. 🩶
It’s not really the wealthy and old money that votes for Blakeman and Trump in Nassau County.
Nassau is LI. New York suburb
It went blue in 2020. It went red in 2024
Blakeman has been solid, and it’s good that Nassau County recognizes that especially with the looming and adjacent socialist threat in NYC. Yes, Nassau County borders NYC.
A GLIMMER OF HOPE
An incumbent in a friendly county.
