California voters approved new congressional district boundaries Tuesday, delivering a victory for Democrats in the state-by-state redistricting battle that will help determine which party wins control of the U.S. House in 2026 and, with it, the power to thwart or advance President Donald Trump’s agenda.
The approval of Proposition 50 gives Democrats a shot at winning as many as five additional seats, just enough to blunt Texas Republicans’ move to redraw their own maps to pick up five GOP seats at Trump’s urging. Texas’ move and California’s response have kicked off a flurry of redistricting efforts around the country, with Republican states appearing to have an edge. Deeply blue California is Democrats’ best opportunity to make up seats.
Midterm elections typically punish the party in the White House, and Trump is fighting to maintain his party’s slim House majority. Republicans hold 219 seats to Democrats’ 213.

Next up Florida, and the Red State South.
California is a single party state fully controlled by the Democrat/Communist Party which has, for some time now, effectively outlawed the Republican Party as an “opposition party”.
I came so close to not voting this evening, but I forced
myself to get out and do it. Sadly, what a waste of time.
The red states will start redistricting because of Prop 50. Win a battle Cali, lose the war.
Just look at the county by county maps. Generally speaking, a bunch of rich white people love the coastline, have consolidated all their power to determine what happens in the rest of the state.
Take Newsome to court, and if we don’t win there, decline to swear-in any California Democrats to the House.
After watching everything play out regarding Charlie Kirk
and other demon possessed democrat policy, the folks in
California voted to give the democrats still more power.
I suspect the democrats will run the House in 2027, and if
they do, this nation will essentially be done for.
The minds of the Leftists are completely gone.

This was a response to what red states were already doing.
Gerrymandering is now the order of the day nationwide, not just in blue states.
So now it's likely the GOP will gain +5 even with MD and VA getting involved.
It’s easy to throw away votes when the selection is viewable through the envelope. Rocket science it is not...
Stupid California voters voting against their own self-interests.
