Republican U.S. Representative Thomas Massie, a longtime critic of both President Donald Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson, has accused America’s political and business elite of benefiting from “immunities and privileges exceeding those of Royalty in Britain," as the release of files related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein remained stalled in Congress.
It comes after Andrew, a brother of Britain's King Charles III, was stripped of his title of "prince" and evicted from his residence in Windsor, England, amid scrutiny of his relationship with Epstein.
In an email to Newsweek, Massie said: “On the day the House returns to session, I’ll have 218 signatures on my discharge petition to force a vote on releasing the Epstein files. Speaker Johnson's manipulation of the House calendar has delayed this for several weeks. If he’s hoping the news will get better or that people will forget, he should think again. We know from the victims’ lawyers that at least 20 men are implicated in files the FBI possesses, and we learned today from the New York Times that after his death suspicious activity reports were filed with the government on nearly a billion dollars of transfers from Epstein’s account.”

It’s not getting worse for anyone.
Why wasn’t Massie demanding the release of the files after Epstein died in 2019? Why didn’t he talk to Biden about releasing the files these past four years? The truth is he’s been MIA on the issue all along, until the middle of this year. Does he really think that running and grandstanding on this issue is going to get him reelected back home? He should be talking about what he wants to do for the people of Kentucky in his next term, not focusing on an issue he knows is already dead in the water. He knows a Judge has already ruled out the release if those files. He’s got kabuki theater going on over something that might not even be real.
He’s an Attention Hog. Nothing more
Apparently, those “immunities and privileges” include lawfare and assassination attempts.
Maddie sent an email to Newsweek, flogging a story put out by The NY Times, that promotes the Epstein innuendo against Trump, that Democrats hope will help get out their base to vote.
He’s worse than Trump because he claims he knows who is on the list but won’t tell anyone.
Massie needs to tend real business. He must have a small pecker like Rand Paul. Little man’s syndrome.

Because his goal is not to see the files. His goal is to sabotage Trump’s presidency, and continue to be a stirrer-upper.

And he never proposed a budget in all his years in congress. If you cannot propose a realistic plan, he needs to shut up. And it seems the only time he makes his stands are when it’s against a republican administration.
