The New York City artist behind an antisemitic and Hamas-obsessed installation on taxpayer-funded Governors Island was caught on camera going berserk when probed about the hate-filled artwork.
Rebecca Goyette flipped out when The Post approached her on Tuesday to ask a simple question after her so-called artwork sparked outrage when it sprung up at a weekend family Halloween event.
“Get the f–k away from me, what are you doing?” she shrieked as she tried to shield her face under her hooded sweatshirt.
Goyette then refused to comment when given the opportunity to explain her installation as she fled down a Brooklyn street.
“I just want to find out about your art installation,” she was calmly asked.
It comes after her unauthorized installation, which featured a mock street sign reading “F–k Israel Ln” and a “Hamas Lover” poster, was widely blasted for excoriating the Jewish state.
Her disturbing collection popped up in a space occupied by Swale — a food-forest non-profit that is part of the Trust of Governor Island’s in-residence program.
The Trust for Governors Island and Swale were both quick to condemn the exhibit — insisting Goyette was not part of the group’s official programming.
“We view this as a deliberate and malicious act by the artist,” Swale said.
