Gov. Kotek issues executive order placing climate lens on farms, forests, waterways

Gov. Tina Kotek wants Oregon to go full force on harnessing the potential of forests, farms, wetlands and waterways to reduce emissions, preserve wildlife habitat and help communities withstand the threat of climate change.

That’s the focus of a sweeping executive order Kotek issued on Thursday to prioritize conservation on both natural landscapes such as forests or wetlands as well as on so-called working lands – farms, ranches and commercial timberlands. It also includes waterways and state-managed ocean waters.

The order comes as the state faces both a significant revenue shortfall due to federal tax cuts and the loss of billions of dollars in Biden-era climate, renewable energy and conservation-related funding that the Trump administration has frozen or rescinded in Oregon and elsewhere.

Kotek said the order is one of a series of actions she’s taking to push the ball forward on preventing and responding to global warming.

Earlier this month, she signed another executive order focused on streamlining the siting and permitting reviews for large-scale solar and wind energy projects in Oregon so that they can begin construction by summer 2026, in time to qualify for federal clean energy tax credits set to expire early due to the passage of Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill.

And, Kotek said, she’s planning more climate action in the near future, including on emissions.

“By the end of the year, you will see a suite of executive orders,” she said. “We can’t stand still. If the federal government’s not going to act, the states have to.”

Well, being a Polish Communist, Gosia should recognize when a Bolshevik apparatchik goes after the Kulaks.

Actual scientist Patrick Moore mentions the "inconvenient truth" that current atmospheric C02 is at about 173, by 130, all life on earth dies.

Greenhouse growers pipe in CO2 to encourage growth.

Tina is a little delusional. The main problem with the greenhouse gasses are into areas she either can’t stop or can’t afford to stop. But the basic is this:

Oregon has a significant reliance on fossil fuels for its overall energy consumption, particularly for transportation and some electricity generation, though its electricity mix itself includes a large portion of renewable energy. So they are already making the effort to renew and that’s more off the table indicating success.

If they are going to utilize their waterways and forests, that will have to include tourism. And that adds to the gasses. So they will be losing ground.

She really hates birds, bats because they are the major victims of solar and wind farms which contribute little to the power gird while the blades from windmills fill landfills, the particles that fall off solar panels are so toxic that the land can never again be used to grow food, but the Chinese will be happy

Oregon is not particularly sunny, especially in the winter.

If lowering CO² (which greenery consumes) is the goal, shouldn’t China’s clandestine Marijuana grow-houses in Oregon and Maine be encouraged?

I assume after doing this she will seal Oregon in a plastic bubble. That way she blocks the rest of the world’s atmosphere from mixing with Oregon’s own personal atmosphere.

Are Ratters really this stupid?

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (King James Version)
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Oregon is the perfect example of why Communism does not work. You have a few elites in the state who believe people should survive as serfs to their dictates while they live like kings and queens. They have locked out any industries which would properly manage and harvest Oregon’s vast resources while taxing the underemployed Oregonians harsher than any state in America. Oregon should be the wealthiest state in America with its unlimited resources.

The elites believe this is the most socially moral lifestyle since they claim they are saving the eart by mismanagement of those resources. Intentions are all that matter rather than results. The forests and rangeland have been permanently destroyed by the lack of harvest, replanting and rotation of those natural resources.

The same people who claimed Oregon would be a Mohave desert and the Cascades would not have any snow after 2020 are still claiming you cannot harvest trees over Global Warming. Never mind Oregon has had the shortest summers in decades and this year has snowed a month before Thanksgiving; Oregon is still becoming a desert. This is like forcing Texas to not drill oil because the earth doesn’t like getting poked.

There is no Global Warming and science cannot prove it just like they cannot prove the Covid shot stopped users from getting Covid. Today’s scientists are not actual scientists but Communist activists who want to promote an agenda using fake studies to further their politics and Oregon is a perfect example. They even make the argument that consensus is science. Consensus said the earth was flat at one time.

The only two reasons the Oregon Forestry Department recommended locking up the forests for 70 years was Global Warming and the Spotted Owl. Ax any farmer in Oregon if the climate is warming and he may laugh himself to death, yet everyone who testified for the shutdown claimed the earf was warming which meant you could not cut trees due to Carbon Sequestration which would cause more CO2 and Global Warming.

Carbon Sequestration is a scientific sounding word which is to confuse the issue. For the Sierra Clubbers who were pushing the lockout is another fake science which says the tree body holds all the carbon the tree absorbed over its lifetime and if it falls down or is cut down it releases the carbon as CO2 while it decomposes. The obvious answer is to cut those forests and build houses with them, problem solved. Carbon Sequestration is actually an argument for more lumber if Global Warming was real.

Their other argument was the Spotted Owl extinction. For over a decade the Forest Service has had to admit the Owl was not being affected by logging or old growth forests but a competing owl called the Barred Owl which migrated from the Midwest and is killing the Spotted Owl over territory. It is so bad the forest service has invented a bounty system on the Barred Owl with some mating call system and shotguns. Who is going to do this for a living going into the deepest parts of the forests hunting Barred Owl for $50/owl?

The elites in the state have no actual science to shut down the forests other than being slaves to the Sierra Club. They are Communists who hate capitalist industries like the lumber companies. They pick and choose what businesses are worthy of surviving in the state. The forests are the most environmentally friendly business in the world; it is the growing of trees which create oxygen from CO2 and sunlight and is not good enough for the elites in the Sierra Club cult so they close it down for 70 years from proper stewardship.

It is time to stop this abuse of power and let the resource managers who have the most direct affect from maximizing the health of the forests do their jobs. There is no Global Warming or Spotted Owl science which cries to stop the lockdown and open the resources for the people. It is time for the state to sell their land to the people. They have no reason not to sell it.

Pray for Revival in Oregon
