Howdy, luvie.

Glad you’re still enjoying nice weather. MAYBE it’ll stay nice now.
Nice here. Sunny but the sky was milky due to dust still in the air. I’ll be glad when all the fields are finally harvested.

Hey there, radu!

Yes, it did get up to about 80 today, but I did some stuff out in the back yard, and it was very pleasant. It’s about 72 now. If I were smart, I’d be sitting out there right now. Maybe when I feed the kitties in a few minutes.

Sorry that the harvest dust messed up your perfect day. I don’t mind “milky” days if it’s real clouds. But dust? No thank you. *aahhhh-CHOO!*

Not too bad, especially with your dry air. It would be comfy here with it being so dry lately. It got up to 66 here and is already down to 44. I’d love your 72!

Yeah, the dust is pretty thick still. The guy who has the huge field across the road also bought a large farm right across the highway. He’s getting the soybeans now that he planted this year. There are still some other fields that were planted late that are being harvested as well. I still have the “fun” of this cotton going out pretty soon. I’m pretty much expecting them to show up next week.
No, wait. Might be the week after. They say we’ll have rain for a few days next week.

Dang! You’re nearly as chilly as Alaska is right now. That’s kind of weird! Are they having a warm up or something?

Oh, yes, the cotton. HackHack. I know you’ll be glad when that stuff is gone...and all the puffy trash that will blow into your yard probably.

Their days aren’t as warm as ours. Also, they’re 3 hours behind us. 3 hours ago, it wasn’t as cold here as it is now. Their overnight low will be quite a bit chillier than ours.

My hope is that they’ll show up to get the cotton when the wind is blowing out of the NE. That will keep the dust from blowing over the house. Otherwise, I won’t want to walk out the door for any reason while they’re here.

Time for me to head out and get the cat stuff done so I can hit the pillows. Republican women’s meeting in the morning.
Have a good rest of the night. Catch ya tomorrow.

Oh, have fun at your meeting tomorrow. Will they be providing a nice lunch at the meeting?

Here’s to NE winds when the cotton is being harvested.

Nighty-night! See ya tomorrow.

Howdy, EGC! Looks like you and Gizmo had lots of fun at Wichita Ridge. It's really a pretty place.
Gizmo gave you the scenic tour I think...with lots of stops along the way. LOL!

Yep, I did have to coax him to do some parts of the park but it worked out well. Nice day yesterday.

Easy Company 506 The real Band of Brothers - A look back

Comments below the video:

“In the intro, Kirk says โ€œโ€ฆthis is the first time grandpa has ever told his storyโ€ when talking about the people who would gather for the interviews they did. That really hit home for me. My grandfather was a WWII vet who fought from France, through the battle of the bulge, and into Germany before he came home. I went with him to his unit reunion in 2003 and left to begin my army journey soon after. Later, after 15 months in Iraq, I sat down with him to talk about the things I had experienced, and he began to compare them to his experiences in Europe. It wasnโ€™t long before he began to write a memoir about the war and finally open up about it after 60+ years. I feel like our bonding over shared experiences, though separated by decades and a generation of our family, formed a special bond that can only be formed between those who have been through it. I miss him often and I wish he was still here to tell his stories today.”
