Hamas Commandeers Schools and Hospitals To Interrogate Its Gazan Opponents
Washington Free Beacon ^ | October 20, 2025 | Adam Kredo

Hamas militants are reestablishing bases inside hospitals and schools, using civilian infrastructure to interrogate Gazans the terror group accuses of collaborating with Israel, according to Palestinian media reports.

"Hamas's internal security forces have begun summoning opponents from schools, tents, and hospitals controlled by Hamas members for interrogation," the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) official Arabic mouthpiece, Al-Hayat al-Jadida, reported over the weekend.

Hamas is notorious for its use of U.N.-run schools and hospitals as military outposts and arms storage depots, a practice meant to maximize civilian casualties and engender international outrage against Israel. While the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) neutralized many of these locations during its two-year war in Gaza, the recently inked ceasefire has afforded Hamas an opportunity to reassert control.

"Hamas is working to restore its pre-war status, and its reoccupation of hospitals and other civilian sites fit that pattern," Joe Truzman, a senior research analyst with the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told the Washington Free Beacon. "The IDF is unlikely to move against Hamas since Israel’s leadership is determined to avoid actions that could unravel the ceasefire."

As the Israeli research group Palestinian Media Watch wrote on Monday alongside its translation of the Arabic-language reports, "Hamas is taking advantage of Israel’s constraints to rebuild its terror infrastructures and rule across the Gaza Strip."

Hamas has conducted a series of bloody raids on opposition groups and Gazan factions that oppose its militant rule, aiming to send a warning message to the millions of civilians still living in the coastal territory. The operations fly in the face of President Donald Trump’s 20-point peace plan, which requires Hamas to disarm.

After a spate of Hamas-led attacks on Israeli troops over the weekend, Trump warned the terror group is digging its own grave by refusing to disarm.

"This is a very violent group of people, and they got very rambunctious, and they did things that they shouldn’t be doing," Trump said on Monday. "And if they keep doing it, then we’re going to go in and straighten it out, and it’ll happen very quickly and pretty violently. Unfortunately, we are going to eradicate Hamas."

Hamas is also trying to retake control of the lucrative humanitarian aid channels in Gaza, reportedly summoning "employees in the international development and aid agencies in order to obtain information about the amounts [of aid] and distribution methods," the PA’s outlet reported.

The terror group has historically filled its coffers with revenue from Gaza’s humanitarian aid networks. In a bid to shore up its finances during the ceasefire, Hamas "imposed levies and tariffs on the aid and established a department for those purposes," according to Palestinian media.

Shortly after the ceasefire went into effect, Hamas militants emerged from their hiding spots deep beneath Gaza and began executing civilians in the streets, the Free Beacon reported last week. Masked Hamas gunmen wearing the terror group's signature green headband were seen lining up bound men in the streets and executing them before cheering mobs.

Hamas foot soldiers also executed at least 25 men affiliated with the Doghmush clan in Gaza City, reportedly using ambulances to infiltrate the family's compound and round up its members. More recent unverified videos circulating online purport to show Hamas members violently assaulting Palestinians who publicly celebrated the peace deal with Israel.

For now, there is little the Israeli military can do to stop Hamas from rebuilding its terror infrastructure, Truzman told the Free Beacon.

"Most of Hamas’s operations appear confined to areas under its control, from which the IDF has already withdrawn in accordance with the terms in the ceasefire deal," he said. "Although reports of Hamas using hospitals and cracking down on Palestinians, Israeli intervention is improbable unless it comes with explicit U.S. backing."

Gruesome videos on social media show Hamas continuing to publicly torture and execute Gazans opposed to the terror group’s rule.

This despite Hamas telling the Trump administration it would stop the killings, and Vice President JD Vance’s insistence that the ceasefire was progressing better than expected.

Hamas is clearly reasserting itself and reestablishing governance through fear.

The Gazans had an election and voted for Hamas to lead them.

Like NYC, LA, Chicago....

Imagine (for just two seconds) having some acute condition such as appendicitis, and requiring immediate surgery, then being blocked from getting help because Hamas is still playing Soldier and taking up all the seats in the Waiting Room. How could they (Hamas) live with themselves, knowingly, needlessly causing such suffering of their own people?

The problem is always the same in this sort of battlespace.

How do you kill the bad guys without killing the civilians?

1. The only way to do this is with massive Intel. Phones, internet, car security/safety systems, balloons with cameras taking HD shots of the whole area every few seconds (back trace), pole cams that get set up in the city (hidden in street lights, etc), pay people for info, flip people caught by being easy on them if they cooperate, using the power of a database to narrow things down where possible, use of biometrics (DNA, fingerprints, facial recognition, etc) if found... They can be found.

2. Employing tactics like the cordon and search, catching them as the leave Gaza or attempt to return, shooting them up in Gaza when you can do it with minimal collateral damage and can positively ID them. When someone is ID’d, put a tracker on them to find locations and help ID others... Use the good ole fashioned mic if locations are ID’d.

3. Using weapon systems that aren’t designed for a huge area effect.

Israel I think killed the top Hamas dude, his replacement, and the replacement for the replacement.

You keep doing this and even go up and down the food chain to include those in financing, logistics, etc.

These guys (((ARE))) smarter than a common garden weed. There is a learning curve. As you keep plucking them, eventually they figure it out.

It’s frustrating work that takes time.

Just listened to the fellow who had been held hostage over 490 days. He though their British passports might protect his wife and two daughters. Hamas killed them. All else he told is just as bad.

IDF needs to be unleashed and allowed to hunt down all the animals that even look like Hamas and wipe them out. Kill every single last one of them. Without that this terror will never end.

Kill them all.

Will these civilian deaths get counted and included in the “genocide” totals? Be curious to see when Hamas kills more than they claim Israel did. Will the world still be saying free Palestine?

Until every last Hamas member is dead, there will be forever war.

Exactly. These people are animals. They not like us.

Quote from a WWII veteran overhearing someone say that `You can’t
bomb an ideology.”

“The hell you can’t. Because we did it. These Muslims are no different
than the Imperial Japanese. The Japs had their suicide bombers too.
And we stopped them. What it takes is the resolve and will to use
a level of brutality and violence that your generations can’t
stomach. And until you can, this shit won’t stop. It took us on the
beaches with bullets, clearing out caves with flame throwers, and
men like LeMay burning down their cities killing people by the tens
of thousands. And then it took 2 atom bombs on top of it. But if
that was what it took to win we were willing to do it. Until you
are willing to do the same...well I hope you enjoy this shit, because
it ain’t going to stop.”

The IDF, no doubt is tracking their every move... and locations. Part 2 soon to come.

These locations for “interrogation” would also include summary drumhead justice and executions. So, pay attention.

A cease fire that is not a ceasefire.

There is only one reason for Hamas’ actions in Gaza now - preparing for attacks against Israel again.
