New Yorkers try to stop federal agents from arresting migrants after Savanah Hernandez exposes black-market operation

Imagine strolling through New York and suddenly seeing this:

WATCH: A huge group of African illegal immigrants are operating a black market on the corner of Broadway and Canal St in New York City.

The entire sidewalk is filled with illegals who state they are from Senegal and I watched as they fled police.

This corner looks exactly… pic.twitter.com/wdIJO1oVZV— Savanah Hernandez (@sav_says_) October 19, 2025

Independent reporter Savanah Hernandez was in New York City on Sunday to cover the "No Kings" protest and randomly found a bunch of Senegalese men selling knock-off products on the streets.

Well, on Tuesday afternoon around 4 p.m., federal agents swooped in to try to nab the illegal aliens before they could scurry away.

CANAL STREET UPDATE: I just got word that the illegal immigrant vendors on Canal street were raided about an hour ago by HSI and arrests were made.

This comes after my video went viral this weekend showing huge groups of African illegals selling fake goods along the entire… pic.twitter.com/7pdtZ4VUk1— Savanah Hernandez (@sav_says_) October 21, 2025

Hernandez said she spoke to the men and learned they had all entered the United States between 2021 and 2023.

NYC Councilman Justin Brannan criticized Hernandez, calling her a "poverty tourist" as he lamented "Trump's ICE cowboys."

A few days ago, this far-right poverty tourist & provocateur discovered Canal Street.

Today, Trump’s ICE cowboys marched in.

They're not hiding it. They're telegraphing it now. pic.twitter.com/SmWVNcV84l— Justin Brannan (@JustinBrannan) October 21, 2025

Apparently Brannan cares more about random foreigners operating an unregistered, tax-free business than he does his own constituents?

Speaking of constituents, however, when New York liberals saw federal agents arresting African guys with counterfeit goods, they ... well, they surrounded the officers, pushed them, and tried to block their vehicles in.

This video shows the aftermath as a larger crowd gathered.

Protesters can be heard calling the officers "fascists."

Breaking🚨 Shortly after 4pm today, ICE conducted a military style sweep in NYC on Canal Street. ICE agents were conducting an enforcement operation against “the selling of counterfeit goods.” People were getting off work and saw the ICE agents and immediately went into protest… pic.twitter.com/SW8Umr5NXP— SonnyBoy🇺🇸 (@gotrice2024) October 22, 2025

The absolute state of things.

The folks who are protesting against arresting these illegal aliens should be decent enough to invite them home for a nice dinner. And maybe a slumber party. Show that you care.

Selling the stuff citizens won’t sell in their stores. Avoiding the insurance, taxes, and licensing fees that citizens won’t avoid.

Remember when the Dems and other lefties simple claimed it was impractical to arrest and deport illegal aliens?

Their obstruction shows they wouldn’t want them deported if we tried to find out for ourselves.

You should be tried for treason if you interfere with federal agents and side with foreigners

Not unlike the food vendors near the Home Depots. Unlicensed, uninspected, and illegal, yet we’re supposed to feel sorry for them.

Man I miss the Sausage Guy.
He used to have a canteen truck out in the parking lot of my local Home Depot here in NH.
However, he was licensed and inspected by the NH food inspector.
For some reason HD stopped letting them operate out of their parking lots. Not sure why. I would have thought it was good for business.

The original “Sausage Guy” operates a cart on Landsdown Street in Boston. Right outside Fenway Park. Across the street from the Green Monster.

I was thinking more of the ladies who show up with home-cooked tamales and tacos to sell to the guys waiting for work. There may be absolutely nothing wrong with the food they’re selling, but they aren’t following the rules for selling food to the public. Of course they also might not have followed the rules for entering the country.

Yes, I have heard of this at Home Depots in the SW USA.
However, here in NH we do not have that.
Of course, NH is 90% white people. The 5% Hispanic’s here are typically employed doing roofing, framing, concrete, landscaping, working in restaurants and other manual labor jobs. Also, distributing the drugs that us citizens don’t want to do.

“They’re not hiding it. They’re telegraphing it now.”

Hiding it? Telegraphing it? We ELECTED a president who ran on this for years and promised to do it. I guess if that’s what brannan means by ‘telegraphing’. And the phrase ‘hiding it’ is pretty rich for a group whose whole strategy to avoid law enforcement taking legal action to remove them is to hide.

The left depends on leftist media to pretend they’re making sense. But those media toadies can’t flood the zone like they once could.

I worked part-time at our local HD when “between jobs”. There was always a guy selling hot dogs at the Lowes across the street. I ask the store manager why HD didn’t have a hot dog guy out front. He said that if the people are buying hot dogs in front of our store, they are spending money that they could be spending inside our store. I told him that sounded short-sighted and explained the reason I would take the kids to Lowes and not HD is exactly because we can get a hot dog on Saturday morning. And most times, I will let them pick out some kid-related something while we are there.

Same story here. HD and Lowes are within a mile of each other. I used to go to HD on the weekend just because I could get a sausage there.

Now, I mostly go to Lowes because I save 5% if I use their credit card. Home Depot used to give you the “Lowes Match” if you charged on their HD card. They stopped doing that awhile ago. I only use their card now when they send me a coupon in the mail. I only go to their store If I am renting a tool now. They are pretty much the only tool rental company left around.

Street vendors in Manhattan is common , going back many years. They were selling cheap umbrellas and women’s handbags in the early 1980s when I worked there......they were on every street , selling something. On the other hand, voters have demanded since the mid 1980 for the government to stop illegal immigration, and just as many black voters signed petitions to send to Reagan as white people did. I don’t know why Democrats think black voters like illegal immigration. Notice how few black people are at anti ICE protests.....it’s mostly old union people and kids with feminist mommies and no daddies or else illegals themselves or their children doing the protesting.
