I like Diwali. It seems like a happy festival.
Another Sari excuse for a holiday.
Watched it on TV. Nice.
I see what you did there.
Please don’t caste any aspersions.
It’s a pagan festival.
Thanks, Eeyore.
I like seeing the temples all lit up, the sand art, etc. Everyone seems happy.
Let pagans celebrate this crap and keep it out of the White House.
The WH should not be celebrating it.
It is a pagan festival. Even as Christians we get grief as we are not suppose to say the obvious.
I’m not sure what ‘pagan’ really means. Some Christians, particularly the Evangelical ones, seem to apply it to anything that doesn’t rigidly conform to their particular ‘religiosity’.
The idea behind Diwali is a beautiful and universal one - to celebrate the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance.
I’m glad the President decided to celebrate it in the White House - we have a lot of Hindu, Sikh, etc., American citizens.
You can say whatever you like. So can those who disagree with you.
Happy Diwali 🪔 - celebrating the Festival of Lights around the world, as good triumphs over evil. pic.twitter.com/Kj5cEl1Kzv— Kash Patel (@Kash_Patel) October 20, 2025
There's this thing called a dictionary.....look it up.
The idea behind Diwali is a beautiful and universal one - to celebrate the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance.
Still pagan. IF it's knowledge over ignorance then it hasn't helped India.
I’m glad the President decided to celebrate it in the White House - we have a lot of Hindu, Sikh, etc., American citizens.
Irrelevant.
You seem like such a lovely, civilized person...
As Christians we are supposed to convert those people, not celebrate their false religions.
That’s right, let’s be nice to just the citizens who celebrate what I want to celebrate. < /sarc>
