Why Washington Must Accelerate the U.A.E. Chip Partnership
The United States and China are locked in a technology cold war. Beijing’s latest move—restricting exports of rare earth minerals critical to advanced manufacturing of everything from semiconductors to defense systems—shows that China is willing to weaponize every advantage it has.
But the trade war is only part of the story. China’s quest to become a hegemonic power runs through the Gulf, where it seeks to establish a military presence to secure energy and shipping routes vital to its economy. For years, Beijing has courted the region’s energy and capital-rich states through the Belt and Road Initiative. The Biden administration’s openly hostile posture toward both Saudi Arabia and the UAE—treating long-standing allies as pariahs for how they choose to govern themselves as conservative monarchies—only encouraged the Gulf states’ exploration of alternatives to Western partnerships.
With President Trump’s return to power, the dynamics shifted. America once again had a leader willing to treat Gulf allies as strategic partners rather than ideological projects.
During a visit to the United Arab Emirates in May, President Trump announced an extraordinary bilateral partnership that would make the UAE a key American ally in the Gulf and a key ally in America’s quest for dominance in artificial intelligence. No need to be snide. I simply asked about them. Looks to be an Arts and Literature site, selling two books a year, at least one of them his. The name is interesting, because "Benjamin Braddock is a fictional character appearing in the 1967 film The Graduate." but he is another, whose work is found, but whose resume as to education and such is not. So just wondering about him.
So Benjamin how is Missus Robinson doing?
Nope. Biden hated on Saudi Arabia and the UAE because Biden ❤ Iran.
As the site was new to me, and as Dustin Hoffman's role was in my mind, the question about the site and author came to --- who are they and who is he.
It is fascinating how many on various sites have opinions, this way and that way, but one looks to learn about them to find how elusive details are. Even obscure.
Given "IM7 | The Culture Stone" is sold on the site for $45, ending with a chapter titled "Epilogue -- Christian Futurism," it seems asking who knows what about the author was at the minimum "fair game."
See: IM7 | The Culture StoneGiven IM is also a 501(c)3 entity operating out of East Hampton, NY, more information would have been interesting.
