Donald Trump told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday to make a deal with Russia, pouring cold water on Kyiv's hopes for Tomahawk missiles as the US leader renews a push to settle the war.
Trump said as recently as last month that he believed Ukraine could take back all its territory -- but a day after agreeing to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin for a new summit the American had changed his tune.
After meeting with Zelensky at the White House, Trump said on social media that their talks were "very interesting, and cordial, but I told him, as I likewise strongly suggested to President Putin, that it is time to stop the killing, and make a DEAL!"

But there's only 14 land launchers (Typhon) in the world and they carry 4 missiles each.
Because they want them SOOO bad, they were easily played and didn't do their homework. That homework would have told them they'll never see a Tomahawk missile.
Russia did their homework and knew it was BS.
So Zelensky got a Tomahawk up the a$$.

The Tomahawk missiles are in warehouses everywhere, tens of thousands of them. Giving a few thousand to Ukraine isn’t a problem, but it’s to pressure Vlad the invader to make a deal.
I am hopeful that both sides can meet and prevent further death. However, the next step is Tomahawks to Ukraine.

Your ignorance is showing.
We have around 5,000 in inventory. Only 9,000 have been manufactured.
There are no aircraft that can launch it.
It must be launched by a Mk-41 VLS system.
Some of those have been grafted onto 40ft trailers to create the Typhon system. Only 14 of those have been manufactured to date.
So Ukraine was counting on getting Typhons.
Trump needs those for the upcoming Venezuela war he intends on.

If there are only 14 Typhons it seems as though Washington would not risk one or two getting droned.
If there’s anything about this war to learn it’s that expensive equipment can be obliterated by an inexpensive drone.
From day one I have not believed Trump was serious about sending Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. From the first time I heard it, I never thought it was anything more than a bargaining ploy.
Personally, I think it is the kind of thing Trump has been doing his whole civilian career, but now he is doing it at a global political level.
I could be wrong, but I don’t believe he ever had any intention of following up on it.
If we provide the missiles, the training, the intelligence, and the targeting info, that makes us a direct combatant and would complicate things directly.

Teasing Tomahawks for Ukraine was outrageous. All it did was embolden Zelensky and the EU, who want to keep this war going.
It's Trump's war and our war unless we get out of it completely.

It is an odd thing. It didn’t worry me or concern me, but boy, a lot of people are getting completely breathless over the concept.
I did purchase and read his book “The Art of The Deal” and I think Trump’s mind is just always in that mode. Perhaps that is why I find it weird that many people are running back and forth on this.
Of course, I could be wrong. It is hard to predict accurately what Trump is going to do, and that is what terrifies the Left and the Deep State (which includes the Squishy Right) I believe that is why they have gone after him with hammer and tongs since he came down that escalator.
He cannot be controlled in the ways the Left and the Deep State have become accustomed to controlling people.
To them, his brain is Terra Incognito...he is a loose cannon to them.
