A drone attack hit the prosecutor's office in the Mexican border city of Tijuana, a key hub for drug trafficking, authorities said Wednesday without identifying the suspected assailants.

Baja California state prosecutor Maria Elena Andrade told reporters that the attack with three explosive-laden drones caused some damage but resulted in no casualties.

The prosecutor's office said on Facebook that the attack hit the anti-kidnapping unit of the state attorney general's office. In a social media post, the state attorney general said that "no attack will stop investigative work or commitment to justice."

Not saying we shouldn’t do it, we should. But this war against the cartels and Venezuelans is looking half-assed with no serious preps.

Our wars of convenience and profit around the world have conditioned DC to expect no retaliation at home. But we have at millions of cartel adjacent people already here. And the border is closed for NORMAL illegal immigration, but it is utterly undefended against a massive bum rush if a big war lights off down there.

Things like bombings, drone attacks, and assassinations of judges, mayors, police chiefs, ICE, Border Patrol could easily be in our future. Nothing is preventing it except them deciding to launch such attacks. The powers that be need to take this seriously.

IMO-—MEXICO IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A COUNTRY LOSES CONTROL OF DRUG CARTELS & POLITICIANS.

THEY ARE SO DEEPLY EMBEDDED IN MEXICO, IT MAY NEVER BECOME NORMAL AGAIN.

Eventually the US will have to conduct a special military operation inside Mexico. When that happens our “friends”, the British and Europeans will quickly condemn our forced actions.

And the Russians will be quietly amused at the situation.

“...utterly undefended against a massive bum rush if a big war lights off down there.”

That’s what it looks like, but I assure you the border zone is never more than an hour from being paved with fire from above. There’s always hardware in a posture to be put in theater on short notice.

Having followed the Ukraine situation closely at the Attack On Europe thread, it is easy to see just how dangerously and creatively drones can be used. With other reports in places like New Jersey and Florida, something larger is going on.

If any kind of conventional major land attack were being planned, we would probably spot a suspicious build up from our satellites. As Ukraine has proved, small deadly attacks can be arranged with good planning. We definitely need to up our level and breadth of security at our borders, and at our critical infrastructure sites in many places.

Hardly any damage at all. Do these cartel wetbacks think they can take on the U.S. Military?

What a joke.

This isn't new. Tijuana has been subject to cartel violence for decades. In 2023, Tijuana was ranked the 2nd most dangerous city in the world. A few years earlier, it made #1. The Mexican government tries to keep it quiet because so much money flows through the city.
