House Democrats are marching to Speaker Mike Johnson’s office to demand he swear in Rep-elect Adelita Grijalva
They have a call-and-response going:

Raul Grijalva’s evil spawn.
Oh Trump is so going to enjoy dropping the Epstein card at the right time !
“Swearing in of new members take place when the House is IN session.”
That is not always true. Speaker Johnson swore in two Republicans this year during House recess. As much as it sucks to have to do it, not swearing in this democrat is a bad look.
Yep.
I think you’re right.
Once she is sworn in, she votes “YES!!!” on releasing the epstein files, and she is the vote to tip the scale in that favor...
I believe it is a GREAT look.
Not to me. Hardball, baby. Not that I'm worried about Epstein files.

Are there established procedures for swearing in of members of Congress, who are elected in these special elections outside of the normal election cycle? Whatever those procedures are, are they being followed now? Or are they not being followed?
We can complain that the Democrats are pushing this, just because we dislike Democrats. But I have not heard anyone discuss what the established procedures are.
The government’s shutdown would be my response.
I had the pleasure of voting against this emerging Commie dynasty. She in no way represents me. They can keep her out forever as far as I am concerned.
the gov’t is shutdown thanks to the party complaining about this...
“...not swearing in this democrat is a bad look.”
I’d wait until we reopen government.
