Heartbreaking.
In the photo I saw, it looks as if anyone who had been in the building must have been vaporized.
I doubt that anyone there realized what happened. For these people, their "light" just flipped
off in a microsecond. They had no time to recognize or contemplate what happened.
That plant likely made the explosivies that went into the bombs that destroyed Iran’s nuclear facilities and go into the American supplied advanced weaponery that Ukraine is using to attack airfields and refineries deep into Russia. Under Biden’s open borders, just walk in policy, at least 99 people on the terrorist watch list and probably many, many more not identified entered and remain within the US. Connection?
That’s terrifying.
Exactly...vaporized is the perfect description. There is nothing to recover.
I thought I heard the sheriff say they were checking phone pings? I don’t know if that meant to see who was there or if phone calls were received?
It would be interesting if the pings didn't stop, i.e. a cell phone survived that explosion.
What happened to the vehicles in the parking lot?
Most of them appear still there. Suppose they could use those to help with who was in building?
Hubs worked in an aerosol factory where one spark of static electricity could do that. No one could have a cell phone at work for fear of a static discharge ending in catastrophe. Multiple terrifying evacuations. The plant had a bad history with 2 mass casualty explosions in the past but was noted for having done a 180 and were extremely cautious. Those poor people. And our hearts break for the families.
No the ping would just go to voicemail after checking last known ping.
Demolitions explosives, AKA dynamite, is nitroglycerine soaked up into diatomaceous earth. (clay) Nitroglycerine is very shock sensitive, but does not out-gas at in step in the manufacturing process. It is not sensitive to a lit cigarette. Shock, well, that is a different story. Also, nitroglycerine must be cooled aggressively during manufacture.
The spectacular military explosives like C4, PETN, RDX (C4), Composition B, and TNT are likewise insensitive to a cigarette glow or open flame. There are phases in the manufacturing cycle of these explosives that are also very sensitive to temperature and shock.
An explosive plant would not let people enter with lit cigarettes or other obvious lapses in safety.
My guess this was a failure in manufacturing equipment or procedure.
Your cell phone is constantly pinging towers. So they can tell who was there.
“at least 99 people on the terrorist watch list and probably many, many more not identified entered and remain within the US. Connection?”
That’s what I’m wondering, but so far, that possibility has not been touched by the FBI, ATF or news media. It makes more sense than some employee who’s been working there for years not taking safety precautions.
A cell tower can provide presence information within a 120 arc, with no ranging information. Not even slightly accurate.
“no survivors” during a search of the blast site.“
I recall a blast at the Grucchi fireworks family’s assembly area a few decades ago. Two of the family had some kind of warning and were running for their lives when an un impeded blast wave caught up with them severing their spines and killing them instantly. These are some really dangerous places to work.
