CNN anchor Kasie Hunt defended New York Attorney General Letitia James after she was indicted on charges related to mortgage fraud, Thursday, arguing that James’ alleged crime was “something that everyone in America” does.
Reacting to James’ indictment on CNN’s The Arena, Hunt said, “We’re still getting the details, but if it’s related to this mortgage issue, I mean this is something that everyone in America, or many people at least, if you’re lucky enough to be able to buy a house in America, you deal with this, right? The federal government doesn’t go after all of these people for doing this.”
She questioned, “Does that play a role here? I mean, how often has there been a federal indictment for a bank fraud type of situation like the one we see here?”

Meanwhile, War Room had on a guest this morning who went through all the details and said that the first indictment is just the tip of the iceberg. I wish I could remember his name.
I was thinking the same thing. If Kasie thinks everyone does it, perhaps she HAS done it.
I’m sure it would make her feel less bothered that Letitia is being singled out - if she also is found to have committed mortgage fraud and is charged.
Convict now, trial later. Isn’t that what was done to President Trump and General Flynn and so many others.
Fixed it.
They’re not charging her with claiming she was married to her father for her NY City home mortgage, but for the home in Virginia she claimed as a secondary home, and then rented out for profit. Must be the statute of limitations ran out on the first one, but if it had been Trump, James would have gotten the RAT-controlled State Legislature to change the law, like she did when she charged Trump with mortgage fraud, and had the misdemeanor charge raised to felony level.
