Virginia Democrats have a violence problem

Jay Jones wished death on former House Speaker Todd Gilbert's children in 2022 messages

Last week, Virginians across the political spectrum were shocked to read text messages from Democratic attorney general nominee Jay Jones fantasizing about murdering a former Republican colleague and wishing death on his children. But this is just the start of Virginia Democrats’ disturbing embrace of political violence.

As National Review first reported, in 2022, just after resigning from the House of Delegates, Jones sent a disturbing string of text messages to another legislator stating that if his Republican colleagues died before him, he would "go to their funerals to p--- on their graves."

Jones then stated that if he had "two bullets" and was faced with the prospect of shooting Pol Pot, Adolf Hitler and former Republican House Speaker Todd Gilbert, "Gilbert gets two bullets to the head."

Jones next called Gilbert and his wife "evil," stated that they were "breeding little fascists," and wished death on their children. Jones specifically stated that he hoped Gilbert’s children would die in their mother’s arms.

FIVE WAYS THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION CAN SAVE THE AMERICAN DREAM AND PREVENT SOCIALISM

All of these comments are repulsive, disgusting and totally disqualifying for anyone who seeks public office.

Jay Jones wants Virginians to trust him to protect them as the commonwealth’s top cop, but it is abundantly clear that he harbors intense, violent malice toward anyone who disagrees with him. There can be no doubt that Jones would weaponize his office against his political opponents. There would be no fair and unbiased pursuit of justice under an Attorney General Jay Jones.

When pressed on his past remarks, Jones outrageously claimed that he was the real victim, accusing Attorney General Jason Miyares of "dropping smears through Trump-controlled media organizations."

How evil works is sinister.

These hateful violent people are true believers. AKA: Brainwashed.

They didn’t contract rabies. They actually think their violence is warranted!

Murder, rape and infanticide are now openly accepted by the left as an expression of political speech. Remember that not even the Nazis publicly embraced the Holocaust for fear of the backlash. Democrats are now talking about murdering the children of opponents; actually doing it is no longer unthinkable.

Jay Jones? Isn't he the Negro Democrat who said he wanted to put two bullets into the head of a peaceful, law-abiding White man who was a successful member of the Republican party and a public servant?

Didn't violence and murder advocate Jones, wish his victim's wife would have the couple's children die in her arms.

Seems like Jones is the average violence and murder advocating Democrat.

Democrats EVERYWHERE have a violence problem.

The premise of the left is that government can force people to be good. People won’t voluntarily help their neighbor so they must be forced to help their neighbor.

When that does not work, it is obviously the fault of the Republicans who believe in personal responsibility. In some minds, there is a need to remove the opposition “by any means necessary” for the greater good.

Dems have been using that sound bite for years:

“What do you do if you’re in a room with Muammar Qaddafi, Saddam Hussein, and John Sununu, and you have a gun with only two bullets? Shoot Sununu twice.”

Since I have lived in VA for over 70 years, I feel competent to comment on this situation. While I respect your right to your own opinion, I respectfully disagree.

I know all the arguments; however, I believe the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

Working people have very busy lives and giving them more time to vote is a good thing; it certainly didn't hurt Governor Youngkin in the last election.

Waiting to vote on a single day in early November makes it all too easy for the Democrats to undermine the voting process and leaves no time for any viable recourse for Republican voters. Early November in Va also coincides w/the onset of cold, wet weather and the beginning of cold and flu season; all of which has obvious negative impacts on older voters who traditionally vote conservative in the Old Dominion.

I do understand the argument that voting early commits the voter to a choice that he/she might regret later; however, while that is a fair point, I still believe early voting is generally a good thing and will be the trend for the future.

Germany tried that and ended up with Hitler.
