Tomahawk Supplies to Kiev May Lead to Further Escalation — Kremlin Spokesman
TASS ^ | 10/7/25

Potential supplies of these missiles will not be able to change the battlefield situation for the Kiev regime, Dmitry Peskov emphasized

MOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. Potential supplies of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Kiev will be a serious spiral of escalation, since such weapons can be equipped with nuclear warheads, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"This will imply a serious spiral of escalation, which, however, will not be able to change the battlefield situation for the Kiev regime. But it is important to bear in mind in this context, putting aside various nuances, that these missiles can be equipped with nuclear warheads," he told reporters when asked to comment on US President Donald Trump’s words that he had "sort of made a decision" on Tomahawk deliveries but wanted to know what Kiev planned to do with them.

"This is a serious spiral of escalation, indeed," the Kremlin spokesman repeated.

"We understand that we need to wait for, perhaps, clearer statements, if they follow," Peskov noted. "As for arms supplies, they are usually sent and then statements follow. At least, that's the way it was under the the [Joe] Biden administration. Let's wait and see how things go this time around."

Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed out at the plenary session of the Valdai International Discussion Club on October 2 that it was impossible to use Tomahawk missiles without the direct involvement of US troops, "which would mean an entirely new, qualitatively different phase of escalation, including between Russia and the United States." Putin stressed on October 5 that Washington’s potential decision to send Tomahawk missiles to Kiev would undermine positive trends in Russia-US relations.

What if Russia gave Venezuela and the Mexican cartels Oreshniks?

We would find them and destroy them, which is what Russia will try to do in Ukraine.

As a reminder, we haven't invaded Mexico or Venezuela yet.

It's also unlikely in any case, since Russia already has it's manhood caught in a vise in Ukraine, directly threatening the US would just be an invite for the US to turn the crank tighter some more.

First of all, the fact that this was made public is suspicious. Announcing that to an enemy is only going to give them time to deploy counter-measures. I suspect there is an ulterior motive here.

"Tomahawk cruise missiles to Kiev will be a serious spiral of escalation"
Tomahawk cruise missiles should not be involved nor issued to Ukraine.

You guys do that tit for tat thing which is silly, you ignore history and the nature of the countries involved, even the parts of the world involved and their level of warfare and hostility, and the whys of everything, and the differences between the home of World Wars, and horrors like Russia and Germany and wars that draw in the most powerful nations on earth, and their constant exposed match of nuclear war.

Mexico doesn’t even bother with a military except for internal policing, this hemisphere is relatively calm and peaceful, and friendly, what little friction that flares a little is usually caused by Russian efforts to ruin things here.

OTD in 2006 journalist & activist Anna Politkovskaya was shot dead. Whoever is responsible for having her killed is still at large. And turns 73 today.

Russia has no counter measures. They cannot stop Ukraine from blowing up Refineries now. Ukraine blows up anti aircraft radar on a regular bases. Russia has to use Donkeys and Horses to distribute supplies...

Moscow escalates the conflict every day, so their upset over any responses from Kiev are laughable.

Ukraine hasn’t seen what Russia is capable of yet. Putin has been holding back but is now threatening war rather than a continued special military operation. Escalation (Tomahawks) will be met with escalation. For example, rail lines that supply Kiev could be taken out at any time but haven’t been attacked. Europeans fly into Kiev for meetings with no worry over bombing because the Russians are informed of when the meetings will happen and lets them happen.

Russia is holding 40,000 Ukrainian bodies in freezers Ukraine that Ukraine won’t accept because it can’t afford to pay the death payments to the families.

Putin has been holding back

No, its ridiculous to try to argue Russia has been "holding back" when it has 700,000 soldiers invading Ukraine.

Neither Kyiv Boryspil international nor Kyiv Sikorski international airports are used for commercial aviation - operations remain suspended.

Also, Russia has been drone-bombarding rail lines around Kyiv City, and in Kyiv region:

Russia has been holding back not shooting down Europeans coming into and out of Kiev, they have not blown up Kiev either they could just drop a nuke on it. The West wouldn’t do crap about it. They would scream and posture but wouldn’t dare strike Moscow lest they world go up in fireballs.

This is how I predict the war will end. Russia will be pushed and pushed until they use a tactical nuke on Kiev.

Always remember the standing philosophy in Russia is a world without Russia is not a world worth living. They will take the world out with them if their existence is at stake. Ask a Russian they will gladly tell you this is how every Russian feels and they mean it and will do it too bet your life on it because they do. I know, work with and have spent much time with Russians every one I have ever meet feels this way. They will take the world out with nukes if you try to take out Russia.
