Court Rules Wisconsin Elections Commission Must Verify Citizenship of All Voter Registrations

Today, Judge Michael P. Maxwell of the Waukesha County Circuit Court issued a ruling in the case Cerny v. Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) that requires the WEC to verify the U.S. citizenship of ALL voter registration applicants and review existing voter rolls for non-citizens.

The WEC and local officials must fulfill their duties and are barred from registering anyone without verification of US citizenship.

The court also mandated collaboration between the parties to create a plan, utilizing Department of Transportation (DOT) records or other legal methods to identify ineligible registrants. This review must be substantially completed before the next statewide election.

The ruling grants the petitioners’ request for a writ of mandamus, which will enforce stricter citizenship verification protocols. It stems from a lawsuit filed Sept 30, 2024, by voters challenging the WEC and the DOT for failing to cross-check voter registrations against DMV records to confirm U.S. citizenship, as required under state law.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

I saw this news on social media on Friday but could find very little verification that it was true. No one linked to the actual court ruling so I was hesitant to post an article. However, it appears it is true.

Here is a link to the Judge's order.

1) Petitioners request for mandamus is granted. WEC has a plain and positive duty
to verify U.S. citizenship of every person seeking to register to vote in Wisconsin.
Further, WEC has a plain and positive duty to determine whether any non-citizens
are currently listed as eligible voters on Wisconsin’s voter rolls.

2) WEC, along with any local election official it regulates through the administration
of elections as defined by Wis. Stat. § 5.05, is hereby enjoined from accepting any
request to register to vote, whether electronically made or through a paper
process, without verification that the applicant is a U.S. citizen along with any
other lawful requirement as currently required by statute.

3) The parties shall meet and confer on a process and plan to evaluate the current
voter rolls, whether through the matching of information contained in the DOT
files or other lawfully available means, to determine if there are any registrants on
the voter rolls who are not lawfully entitled to cast a vote in Wisconsin. The
review of the current voter rolls for this purpose shall be substantially completed
prior to the next regularly scheduled statewide election.

4) The court’s clerk shall set a status hearing via Zoom in 60 days to update the
Court on the progress if said plan and to discuss any other legal issues or relief
remaining in this matter.

The left doesn’t like truth or the light, so I expect they will try to overturn. Once something like this sticks, Dems are finished.

This will ultimately make its way to the Commie-run WI Supreme Court where it will be affirmed.

I hope while getting rid of non-citizens they check to see if they voted in the elections. IF so, add to the fraud list and deport them.

This is a case where you have no problem with election fraud because no one could really measure just how bad it was. It wasn’t a big story nor worth digging into because it benefitted the side which the MSM overwhelming supports.

IMHO, voter fraud was far more widespread than what most imagine.

nothing will happen. Evers will ignore, Vos will make a backroom deal to pump up his personal wealth. The RPW will continue to work against grass root conservatives, and RPW Chair Schimming will continue to stuff his face at the buffet.

It’s not just about Voter ID.

Guess what kind of voting machines WI uses...

And thanks to HAVA, note the timing BTW, 2024...

https://www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/two-wisconsin-towns-must-provide-accessible-voting-machines-following-doj-lawsuit/

... states will continue to use.

Note to Benny Johnson: I’d tweet you the above link, but I can’t thanks to my being banned on Twitter/X. But if someone could get that info to you, especially in light on your recent comments on X, that would be helpful.

Voter ID is essential, but as long as we use electronic voting machines and tabulators, our elections will NEVER be secure.

Washington, which allows ballots to be accepted until the day before certification,

I cannot believe the Dems in Washington are so brazen!
They just send in the needed ballots a day before certification, count them and certify, all done, certified, no appeals!
Kind of genial from their point of view.
This should be illegal for sure!
