PORTLAND, Ore. — As protests continue nightly outside the Portland ICE facility, there have been multiple reports of people getting arrested or detained — but figuring out who is in charge and what happens afterward isn't always straightforward.
At times, protesters are interacting with city police, county deputies or federal agents, and each agency handles arrests differently, which makes it harder for the public and journalists to track what is exactly happening.
Most of the time, law enforcement around the ICE facility involves federal officers, who are responsible for securing the federal facility and enforcing federal law around the building, ranging from relatively minor charges, like trespassing, to more serious offenses, like assaulting a federal officer.
KGW has found that in many cases, those taken into federal custody aren't formally charged. Thus, people on the scene might hear of an arrest in the moment but never see it go to a courtroom.

The issue from what I can tell is that when one of the Antifa protestors gets picked up by state or local authorities, they get released almost immediately and are back in the fight the same evening or the next day at the latest.
If it’s a Federal Authority that arrests them, Antifa has a source of bail money and the people are back in the matter of a couple of days, it’s a never-ending revolving door in Portland.
Who?
The federal effort is utterly ineffective. They stand guard at the federal building and shove back or arrest the few brazen ones at the front of the line.
But zero effort to raid their safe houses, raid the organizers, freeze bank accounts, “kettle” them with a much larger force and take them out of state to a federal facility under no-bail PATRIOT act charges.
The Feds should not work with the state and local, and should use for more violence.
Hell...send it the Marines like you did in Los Angeles...tell them to handle it.
Nothing... just random ones and twos get arrested.
Antifa... you know, that “idea”, the one that has a bank account.

This whole dog and pony is being given a lot more than it is. If the actions against the facility are not the responsibility of the federal agents, then they are of the local police. So every time someone violates the sanctity of the facility, the local police should be making arrests. If they are not, then they are violating their job description and are subject to termination. All that has to happen is that this is being pointed out and who is responsible for the lack of effort. They should go to FOX and give names and positions for national release.
The cops do not want to get involved as that constitutes having to do something that puts them in the light. Put them there and keep them there. Bad publicity is what they don’t want. They want to be ghosts hiding behind sensationalism. Pull them out in the open and write down the name of the cop that arrests someone. After that, find who they work for. The chain of command goes both ways.

It’s a media nightmare for the Republicans. Best thing to do ( in my opinion) is break out the ADS and have everyone throw up. The ADS that makes someone think they are on fire would also be good.

need to issue blanket restraining order to keep so called protestors back a long way from Ice facilities, offices or actions-—and/or restrict them to city hall or state capital. charge people with stalking ICE. Not appropriate to picket federal agents because you do not like the policy. That is the opposite of democracy, using threats of your mob of brownshirts. Isn’t it obvious that if these people could mob & threaten ICE agents & shoot at or dox Republicans, they can illegally harvest mail in ballots & stuff ballot boxes, especially since local and state government and law enforcement seem obviously to be on the same team???
Some of it is our tax money that has been funneled to NGOs, the other comes from leftwing billionaires like George Soros and the organizations he supports.

That’s my take, too. A few are hauled off, but there’s never any follow-up. Are they going to be held two years (like the J6 innocents)? Or are they released after an hour?
The Brits arrested almost 500 pro-palestinian protesters in London today. Why aren’t we seeing numbers like that every single day?
These ones and twos just aren’t going to cut it. Even worse, it makes the NG, ICE and DHS laughing stocks. The videos on X of the bastards screaming at our officers and laying hands on them are just appalling. They should put Miller or Homan in charge of rewriting the rules of engagement.
And why isn’t Bondi finding the source of their money and shutting that down?

True. It’s a war.
They’re in civil war with 80% of US civilians who voted for closed borders and and laws to be enforced against illegal aliens.
AND most Democrats have started a war against an elected president calling for violence and using their judges to block the government.
Basically, certain states are exempting themselves from the federal government.
If that’s not a civil war, I don’t know what is. And it has nothing to do with the government shut down because the war started right after the election with people being harassed and killed.
