UFC is one of the corporate sponsors of America250, the nonprofit organization that will be overseeing the country’s semiquincentennial celebration. Other sponsors represent different parts of Trump’s corporate coalition: Amazon, Palantir, Coinbase, and Scotts Miracle-Gro, as well as some traditional exporters of American global capitalism: Coca-Cola (soft drinks) and Lockheed Martin (bombs). “I don’t know what more people expect or want from an American president,” gushed Monica Crowley, Trump’s liaison to America250. “He is literally fulfilling the entire job description, and so much more.”

Pure democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner, which is why the United States is a constitutional representative republic, not a democracy, and hopefully never will be a democracy.

I rise in anger every time the Dems and their news propagandists say that dirty word “democracy” which means violent mob rule against a minority opinion (meaning fewer people, not a race of people) as part of Communism.
The movie I Was A Communist For the FBI had several mentions “keep using the word democracy in the leaflets you pass out” and “we’ll keep saying we’re for democracy until the Revolution takes over America.”

and “Fight Fascist Cops”.

We’re dealing with all those studies majors, baby, and journalism now way, way below undergrad lesbian dance in intellectual rigor.
The question is not “Can America become a democracy?” but “Should America become a democracy?”
Democracy is a very different thing from using democratic means of selection of representatives on a proportional basis to operate the levers of government. Democracy is a “50% plus one” tyranny of the majority, while democratic means of selection is supposed to assure that minority viewpoints are considered in a consent to compromise and discover unsuspected future conflict before it happens.
But, some people don’t have enough adversity in their lives, got to go out and invent some.
My BIL seeks out my opinion on Constitutional issues. About 10 years ago, he thought Presidential elections should be decided by the popular vote. It took only several minutes to correct him…lol.
