After Hamas announced its response to his peace proposal Oct. 3, President Donald Trump called on Israel to “immediately stop the bombing of Gaza” to clear the way for the release of hostages.
In a breaking news report, Hamas-friendly source Al-Jazeera reported that the terrorist organization accepted two key proposals of Trump’s 21-point plan, namely freeing all Israeli captives and handing over administration of the enclave to Palestinian technocrats.
According to the Associated Press, Hamas also argued that “aspects of the proposal touching on the future of the Gaza Strip and Palestinian rights should be decided on the basis of a ‘unanimous Palestinian stance’ reached with other factions and based on international law.”
The statement made no mention of Hamas disarming, a key demand included in Trump’s proposal.
After being informed of Hamas’ statement, Trump posted on X: “Based on the Statement just issued by Hamas, I believe they are ready for a lasting PEACE. Israel must immediately stop the bombing of Gaza, so that we can get the Hostages out safely and quickly… this is about long sought PEACE in the Middle East.”
Hamas’ response was issued hours after Trump announced that Hamas had until 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 5, to accept his Gaza peace proposal or face “all HELL, like no one has ever seen before.”
“We will have PEACE in the Middle East one way or the other,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
I wouldn’t trust Hamass
Not until they release all hostages. Between this and his support for Ukraine, Trump is screwing up in my opinion.

Agreement breach in 3,...2,.... They can’t help themselves. Their duty to eliminate Christians and Jews is #1.
Hamass will make this deal fall apart when it comes to the requirement of their disarming.
I say SATB* until they agree, give up, or cease to exist.

Hamas is never going to agree to disarm and I’m sure Trump is already aware of this. Trump is just looking to wrap this thing up before we move on to attacking Iran again. Israel has had 2 years to eliminate Hamas and is no closer to doing that today than it was back then.

Key points? ALL the points need to be accepted. Especially the points about Hamas not being involved in any way with the new Gaza political authority. And their current leaders being given harbor in another Arab country (where the Mossad can kill them later).

My guess: Hamas will violate first, and Israel will hammer them.

No! This is playing into their hands. Bomb them until the hostages are released. Bomb them until they submit. Don’t sit down to negotiate something you said was non-negotiable!
Trump’s plan had 20 points. Hamas agreed to the marginal, least consequential 7 and rejected the most important 13.
Hamas is doing what they always do. Muddy The Agreement with agreeing to
only parts of it.
Agree to ALL the points or wipe them all out.
Trump should stay out of it and just let Israel deal with it. My opinion.
They did not accept the disarmament point
Trump wants the bombing to stop in order to release the hostages safely.
You cannot trust rabid dogs. They will violate any agreement.
