the Chinese are preparing to take Taiwan so hitting our fuel refineries makes sense. Any chinamen spotted running from the blaze?

Idk about that, but I would like hear an explanation. What i do know is the refineries are full of VOCs and there are so many potential leak points. Every valve, pump, flange and fitting are a disaster waiting to happen without routine maintenance.

As you hint though, there also exists myriad opportunites for sabotage.

“Newsance needs to tell Californians to quit playing with fire.”

I’m almost willing to be my house that it will be traced to compliance with some ‘climate regulation’ by California.

With all the lawsuits and regulation that will strangle Chevron, Chevron should just call it quits in California and move their operations to Texas.

How about Russians? They’ve been carrying all sorts of sabotage attacks across Europe. Maybe they want to send Trump a message for his support for Ukraine.

This possibility should not be discounted. If you had to select just one target, where would it likely have most impact?

California - the state with the goofiest regulations, which makes any disruption more impactful.

That being said, can’t ignore:

Your problem is that you see it as something wrong. If you were Russian, why won’t you do it?

Why should it be one target? Do you really think that refineries are hard targets?

Don’t Californians make a dozen of their own blends of gas that only they use? So if there is a stoppage, would it only affect them. Saying this as someone who is admittingly ignorant of the logistics of oil and gas in this country.

On a lighter note, didn’t Calis also all buy electric cars so this shouldn’t matter? Haha
