The Senate Democrats’ campaign arm is planning a two-day getaway at a five-star resort in the heart of California’s wine country in early October — at the same time the country may be in the midst of a government shutdown — according to an invitation obtained by Politico’s “Playbook.”
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) is hosting its Napa Retreat from Oct. 13-14 at Hotel Yountville in Napa County, Politico reported Saturday.
Democratic New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, who has chaired the DSCC since January, circulated an invitation to the event which lists her, Democratic Maryland Sen. Angela Alsobrooks and other unidentified “[m]embers of the Democratic Caucus” as attendees, according to the outlet.

I guess some of the Democrats will have to whine about the shutdown in style.
Better beat them to the punch and take lots of photos for internet sharing to show that rules are for little people.

It is right there in the Revised and Improved Kommie Manifesto.
“Set over 22 acres and richly landscaped with 100-year-old olive trees and a working wine-producing vineyard, the Estate Yountville embodies a village-within-a-village, framed by three accommodation offerings: Hotel Villagio, located on the south side of the resort near the Estate’s vineyard, with 113 lavishly-designed guest rooms; Vintage House, a more intimate option with 80 bungalow-style rooms featuring wood-burning fireplaces (for aesthetics only: the fireplaces are no longer in service due to the 2017 and 2019 Napa Valley fires in the area) and a private enclosed pool for VH guests; and finally, The Villa, a private, five-bedroom with cathedral ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, private courtyard, secluded swimming pool, and interior design inspired by the distinct grape varieties reflected in Napa Valley’s heritage. All rooms on the property are designed as self-contained sanctuaries, equipped with thoughtful amenities, like luxury Diptyque products.”
Not the same place? It’s a bit tough to tell yet.....
