No one is buying Jimmy Kimmel's crocodile tears
dancrenshawtx:
Jimmy Kimmel tried—and failed—to gaslight the country. He tried to score political points by lying about the death of an innocent father, then blamed his own audience for “misinterpreting” his words. Crocodile tears if I’ve ever seen them.
As for TMZ? I saw their newsroom’s reaction. Cheering, laughing, and celebrating like it was a touchdown—over someone’s death. Don’t insult our intelligence by claiming it was a car chase. Nobody’s buying that.
And “cancel culture?” No. Cancel culture is the unreasonable deplatforming or firing of someone expressing beliefs well within social norms (like Sydney Sweeney doing a jeans ad…). It is not cancel culture to fire someone for celebrating the assassination of an innocent husband and father. That is freedom of association. Nothing about the first amendment forces me to associate with people I don’t like. In fact the first amendment protects my right to disassociate from vile people. Where’s the line between reasonable and unreasonable? That will always be a debate, and one that our country should continue to have WITHOUT violence.
By TMZ Staff Published September 24, 2025 2:21 PM PDT Jimmy Kimmel's return to TV -- which included a staunch defense of the First Amendment and an emotional salute to Charlie Kirk's widow -- went over like a fart in church with Congressman Dan Crenshaw.
placeholder The U.S. Representative from Texas joined us Wednesday on "TMZ Live," and blasted Kimmel's monologue as not just disingenuous ... but, a "new brand of gaslighting."
TMZ
It would be a waste of time and concentration to expect any glimmers of contrition and/or regret from someone like Jimmy Kimmel. Why bother explaining how ‘shocked’ you are that he has not changed in any meaningful way? Just direct attention elsewhere.
The Dems will have their foolish, ghoulish ‘heroes’ and nothing will change that. Whoever still does not see Kimmel for the low life sleaze that he is, does not want to see it, or most likely, they see his nasty attitude as an asset for the resistance.
It takes a gaslighter to recognize a gaslighter and Crenshaw uses a lot of gas.
If Dan is correct, it seems Jimmy worked on the act for a long days...
Well why would we? What he said in conjunction with them was not an actual apology or admission what he said was wrong.
Crenshaw must be feeling some footsteps regarding his Primary next year.
Maybe he drives a Tesla. (Humor)
This is very much true, concerning Crenshaw.
Sometimes, it takes one to really know another one.
Dan Crenshaw is a complicated man. I haven’t quite figured him out yet. What lights him up? What presses his buttons?
How much of his flexible sense of ethics is bitterness, due to his eye injury?
Eyepatch McCain lives!
We all see it. Jimmy’s just not that good of an actor.
Right
Is Sinclair holding the line?
That, I don’t know. I don’t plan on giving The Perils of Jimmy Kimmel too much of my attention.
Maybe Jimmy should invite Keith Olbermann to be his new sidekick. I’m sure they would make news on a regular basis,
just like The View.
If I had to guess, Liz Chaney or Mitch McConnell get his juices flowing.
Liz Cheney puts the Lime in his Coconut!
Is crenshaw that one eyed internationalist?
ABC did.
They put him back on the air.
Kimmel had his marching orders to spread the MAGA lie. I’ve even heard young people repeating it. Sane people know the mentally ill trans army that Obama has been building is to blame.
