It feels like several millennia ago but can you remember the reaction to George Floyd’s killing five years ago? I’ll help: it was extremely weird. US police brutality against black men was hardly unknown, but, for a variety of reasons, when Floyd was choked to death by a police officer in Minneapolis it kicked off global riots and a social justice movement that quickly became less about effecting change and more about controlling people’s speech.
Media organisations paid out millions to diversity consultants to teach their employees right-think about race, and “black” was gifted a solemn, respectful capital letter. People were publicly shamed and sacked if they failed to parrot race activists’ shibboleths.
• The summer of 2020 — when America went mad with rage White authors had their books trashed by grifting mediocrities if they dared to write from a black character’s point of view — but they were also damned for writing books that were “too white”. A scolding censoriousness that had been building on the left for some years exploded. Floyd himself was accorded a kind of quasi-saintly status, his image appearing as far afield as on a wall near my home in London. To say he was a flawed man who absolutely should not have been killed was too nuanced for those black and white times. He had to be deified. Well, now the right has its George Floyd. The killing of Charlie Kirk on September 10 was horrific and, like Floyd’s, it was horrifically unexceptional. Political violence has long been a feature in the US and it has been ratcheting up on the right and left, with two attempts on President Trump’s life during the election, an arson attack...

“choked to death by a police officer”
They know that isn’t true.
Floyd wasn’t no saint. He was a fraud and drug addict.
Liar Liar.
George Floyd wasn’t checked to death.
*choked*
“””Floyd was choked to death by a police officer”””
Weird. That’s not how I spell...died of a massive fentanyl overdose.
One more time of the criminal drug filled Floyd with his pre-existing conditions being “killed” or “murdered” is one too many.
Terribly unfortunate for the cop that he made a bad decision to hold him after the all out physical battle Floyd put up,
which put the cop in prison and put all of us in continued danger of leftists against us.
But Floyd was not murdered.
(I’m arguing against the post source, not you, E Pluribus Unum, of course).
Officer Derek Chauvin, in prison, February, 2023 in the Federal Correctional Institution in Tucson, Arizona.
Summary of incident——
The attack was carried out by John Turscak, a fellow inmate who was a former leader in the Mexican Mafia prison gang.
Turscak told investigators he chose to attack Chauvin on Black Friday because of the former officer’s notoriety in the George Floyd case, making a symbolic connection to the Black Lives Matter movement.
Chauvin was stabbed 22 times with an improvised knife and sustained serious injuries, though he survived after receiving emergency medical treatment.
Following the stabbing, Chauvin was transferred to a lower-security federal prison in Big Spring, Texas.
Turscak was subsequently charged with attempted murder and other offenses for the assault.
“ Floyd was choked to death by a police officer”
FALSE. Floyd died of any overdose and everyone that follows actual facts knows it.
Floyd died from fent. poisoning...no damage whatsoever to his neck.
Derek Chauvin was an idiot. And he was a bad cop.
Anyway, we should take a look at the organizations behind George Floyd riots.
Who was funding them? Obviously, they were not "organic".
The Trump Administration needs to investigate, perhaps George Soros was behind it all.
Otherwise, it would not have been a big deal at all. Maybe we would have read about it on the news for a day or two before moving on.
Exactly!
Correct.
How was he a bad cop?
We know that the UK is done when even the Times resorts to Guardian-level reporting.
Don’t forget a woman-abusing degenerate!
Almost everything in this thread is a lie. But anyone with a curiosity can check on the statements and find it isn’t true.

Obama obviously exploited the optics of the Floyd incident to advance his agenda to end mass incarceration. Recall the first racial incident during Obama admin when he pontificated that the cop acted stupid. Floyd bequeathed a get out of jail card to blacks. The only good thing about the Floyd incident is that it ended the insanity of COVID lockdowns.
And he in essence committed suicide by drug overdose.
