Cardinal Dolan says he spent the past week studying Charlie Kirk’s life, and the more he learned, the more he saw him as a modern-day Saint Paul.
A fearless missionary, a passionate evangelist, and a true hero.
“When I heard the tragic news, I said, ‘I wonder who he was.’ And then all of a sudden, this overwhelming, this overwhelming sense of sorrow and kind of renewal.”
“And I thought, I gotta learn about this guy. And the more I learned about him, I thought, this guy's a modern day Saint Paul. He was a missionary, he's an evangelist, he's a hero.”
“He's one that knew what Jesus meant when he said, the truth will set you free. And to do it, Now, I understand he was pretty blunt and he was pretty direct. He didn't try to avoid any controversy. He didn't even try to avoid confrontation. The difference is the way, the mode, the style that he did it, always with respect.”
I saw Charlie as more of a missionary to US colleges, one of the deadliest missionary fields in the world.
High praise, be8ng compared to an apostle
Well GOOD for Cardinal Dolan!!!
I thought the same thing.
I had seen YouTube shorts on Kirk debating childish/idiotic college kids. A conservative smacking down liberals was mildly entertaining, but superficial and I didn’t follow Kirk. That’s the slanted nature of social media
when he was murdered, I looked more deeply at him and listened to his lengthy talks.
He was indeed an evangelist. He never attacked individuals, was never vulgar, was constantly a faithful Christian, but did speak about the evils of sin and wokeism clearly. That triggered leftists.
Full interview- wow he praises Charlie Kirk- thanks him for courageously mentioning the name of Jesus in the public square:

St. Paul got more due process from Nero and the Roman Empire than Charlie Kirk did from the furry-plowing pervert left.
Thank you Cardinal Dolan. Now get Pope Leo to acknowledge Charlie, the same way he acknowledged the LGBTQ movement.
Indeed.
I’ve always respected Cardinal Dolan the few times I’ve seen him interviewed. Not necessarily as a minister, but as a more-than-decent man with a good head on his shoulder.
Thanks Cardinal. Welcome to the party.

embedded video; the joy on Charlie’s face.
Thank you, Cardinal Dolan!
I have to agree. Died preaching the truth. May he be counted among the saints. God bless his family.
Very!
Awesome!
Not going to happen. Loe -Frankee the fraud 2.0
Indeed!
It’s been my observation that most of the clergy are afraid to say anything good about Charlie other than that he shouldn’t have been murdered.
So for someone as mainstream as Dolan to speak up is a big deal.
Cardinal Egan went out of his way to learn about CK. I suspect he didn't get his information from the CNN and its left-wing haters, who have called CK a racist, homophobe, Nazi, fascist, etc., even though they have never actually heard or seen unedited videos and transcripts of his speeches and debates.
Like Cardinal Egan, I didn't know much about CK on September 9th. I knew his name and his involvement with an organization called Turning Point, but that's about it. After his assassination, I did my own research and try as I may, I could not find a single CK statement, when viewed in context, that could be characterized as offensive -- except to the haters on the left who want to be offended by everything.
Canonization to follow? ;)
