Donald Trump's helicopter is forced to make an emergency landing with US President and Melania on board

Donald Trump's helicopter has been forced to make an emergency landing with the US President and Melania on board.

The presidential chopper suffered a hydraulic issue on its way back from Chequers, where Mr Trump had been meeting with Sir Keir Starmer for a joint press conference.

The US President, who has been in the UK for a historic second state visit, arrived at London Stansted 20 minutes behind schedule.

The helicopter made its emergency landing at Luton Airport - where the President and First Lady were transferred onto a second 'support' chopper.

The couple then boarded Air Force One for their return journey back to the White House following the historic visit.

Photos from the scene show emergency vehicles and armed police on the tarmac at Luton Airport.

Separate images show both of Mr Trump's helicopters, known as Marine One and Marine Two, on the ground, just off the runway.

It is understood that both choppers, one with the US President and First Lady on board, were flying in formation to Stansted Airport.

Mr Trump and his wife were then transferred from one to the other before the 'support' chopper also returned to Luton.

They’re safe.... That’s all that matters.

The presidential chopper suffered a hydraulic issue

President Trump shouldn't allow Democrat mechanics to work on his transportation, ... or anything else.

“””The presidential chopper suffered a hydraulic issue “””

Why don’t I trust anyone?

Don’t trust nobody. Even those in the military are coming out exposing themselves of their political stance. These are the most dangerous because they’re closest to the president. I fear the radical agenda driven mechanics who work on Air Force One and the president’s helicopters. I pray they are well vetted and are only MAGA Trump supporters. Hydraulic mechanical problem sounds like sabotage to me.

Because they can’t be trusted.

My first instinct is sabotage.

with present marxists/globalists running the UK, Trump should literally trust nothing they provide him. Not even the toilet paper.

It’s always wise to bring a second helicopter... If you can and Trump can and he did... Good for him.

Jimmy Kimmel would’ve likely complained about Trump bringing that second helicopter, if he had a show to complain on anymore. LOL

It is concerning. The left may go for broke.

Thank you, still a helo, still leaks. The difference is it is cleaned prior to each flight.

A helicopter is a collection of thousands of parts flying in close formation, all trying to get away from a central oil leak.

A fixed-wing pilot asks, “Have you heard the one about the helicopter pilot?” The helo pilot replies, “Just so you know, I’m a helicopter pilot, and I’m a big guy, and my buddy is a Marine helicopter pilot, and he’s even bigger.” The fixed-wing pilot says, “...never mind, I don’t want to have to explain it three times.”

It’s an aircraft.
$it happens.
Parts wear out / malfunction / break.
That’s why they have a second for backup....

Ask me how I know? 34 years of flying H-60s and various FW.

Helichoppers are extremely complex machines. Even the best maintained sometimes have issues.
