The state’s largest teachers union came in for sharp criticism on Wednesday after it asked school districts to defend educators from bullying and harassment for speaking out on the death of the conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

In a joint statement, Max Page and Deb McCarthy, the president and vice president of the Massachusetts Teachers Association, argued that the “ongoing campaign by extreme-right conservatives to discredit and defund public education has grotesquely exploited the shooting death of Charlie Kirk to launch attacks against people commenting on this public figure’s beliefs and statements.”

Teachers’ Unions need to be abolished for at least 30 years.

“ongoing campaign by extreme-right conservatives to discredit and defund public education"

From their perspective it is great statement that has always worked before in Mass, so why not again?

They don’t even punish them for sexual misconduct if they’re invested in their job. They just find another place to put that person, hiding them away from the public, but still paying them their salary and benefits. That’s what the National Education Association is all about...protecting their members, no matter what.

The Massachusetts Teachers Association is the biggest promoter of LGBTQ faggotry in the state. IIRC, they were involved in the “Fistgate” scandal that occurred at Tuft’s University back in May of 2000. Being a public school teacher is the perfect job for a left wing fanatic. It is a part time job, there is no accountability, it pays well, great benefits, generous vacations and it is impossible to get fired. Many teachers are Antifa terrorists.

“ …bullying and harassment for speaking out on the death of the conservative activist Charlie Kirk.”

“speaking out” is quite the spin.

any teachers are Antifa terrorists

Sir, that is a totally unsupported opinion. But, to quote prison face-Brennan, it sounds so right...😁

The public school system is pretty rotten.

Teacher’s unions are a big cause for that.

You could be a solid citizen and a great teacher, but you are legally bound to pay to these organizations whether you choose to officially become a member or not.

And paying dues to these teacher’s unions is the same as contributing to the America hating Marxist Democrat Party.

Pretty much explains why the profession is not attracting the quality of teachers who gave me a solid education when I attended public school over 50 years ago.

They’re placed in what has been banned a “rubber room”, as insane asylums used to have.

This article mentions the two students who were shot. What if a teacher went online and said “I am so glad those two students were shot”?

Don’t you think they would be fired?

No one is saying teachers can’t have political opinions. You can and should.

But you can’t expose yourself as an awful cruel person and expect your employer to accept that.

During the summer of love, there were many reports that teachers in Seattle and Portland were Antifa members. Teachers fit the profile.

I’d also be willing to bet any of those teachers that joined in the violent, but mostly peaceful, protests, also demanded schools remain closed because it was too dangerous to teach due to covid.
