Nexstar says that it will pre-empt Jimmy Kimmel’s show from its ABC stations “for the foreseeable future” following his remarks about the suspect in Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
The company said, “Nexstar’s owned and partner television stations affiliated with the ABC Television Network will preempt Jimmy Kimmel Live! for the foreseeable future beginning with tonight’s show. Nexstar strongly objects to recent comments made by Mr. Kimmel concerning the killing of Charlie Kirk and will replace the show with other programming in its ABC-affiliated markets.”
Kimmel said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, “We had some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and with everything they can to score political points from it.”
On Tuesday, authorities charged Tyler Robinson, 22, in Kirk’s killing, along with a series of other charges. Utah County Attorney Jeffrey Gray said that Robinson’s mother said her son “had become more political and had started to lean more to the left, becoming more pro-gay and trans rights oriented.” Gray said that when Robinson’s father asked his son why he did it, Robinson “explained that there was too much evil, and the guy, referring to Charlie Kirk, spreads too much hate.”
Yeah......winning is great.

While I wholeheartedly agree with the decision, the left will demand twice as many removals of Trump’s people and the Right.
The media will be happy to oblige.

Hope this is the beginning of the end for the sniveling little weasel’s show.

I know this is a "win"...
...but I'd trade having Charlie Kirk alive and the turd Kimmel still being on the air, for the present reality, in a heartbeat.

This is just an excuse - his ratings were poor and he was on borrowed time after Colbert got cancelled. but they don’t want to pay out the contract so they find a loophole to cancel him. Either way it works for me.
Soros and company will probably pay him to write a book about how he is now the victim.
Nexstar did the right thing. There are lines that should not be crossed in broadcast tv.
It may lead to further censoring and debanking of the right. Even though, let’ be clear, the right did not do this. Their own side did.
I know this is a “win”......but I’d trade having Charlie Kirk alive and the
turd Kimmel still being on the air, for the present reality, in a heartbeat.
Let’s take our wins when and wherever they occur, for now.
