Tens of thousands of anti-migrant protesters marched through the center of Britain’s capital in record numbers over the weekend, showcasing the grip of nationalist sentiment across Europe and the growing appeal here of MAGA-style politics.
According to police estimates, around 110,000 joined the Saturday protest — an unexpectedly high turnout that anti-extremism group Hope Not Hate said represented the largest far-right protest in the country’s history.
The weekend rally was marked by extremist anti-migrant rhetoric and violent assaults against police officers, 26 of whom were injured as some of the protesters kicked, punched and launched projectiles, the Met Police said in a statement. In an email Sunday, police said they arrested 21 men and three women for offenses including affray, violent disorder, assaults and criminal damage. The long-planned rally was organized by the British anti-migrant extremist Tommy Robinson, who announced last week that it would double as an exercise of free speech in memory of Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist who was shot dead Wednesday in Utah. His killing sent shock waves throughout not just the United States but also the populist right globally.
Speaking to a rowdy crowd, Robinson used racially charged language to frame himself as an outspoken opponent of immigration and to repeat the white supremacist “great replacement” theory — which baselessly argues that a shadowy group of leaders is working to displace White people — while also framing himself as a British ally to MAGA.
“There’s only one country in the world, one government, that’s fighting for all of our free speech. It’s not our government. It’s certainly not the European Union. It’s the Republican Party in the United States.

“MUKGA” ???
/s
This is turning into an international issue.
Very encouraging! Let common sense prevail!
Global Left vs the West.
MEGA is great tag but they are afraid to use because European media has totally slandered what MAGA actually means.
Reminds me of the movie, “V”. If you’ve never watched it, it prescient for the UK.
No bias in this article (sarc).
“According to police estimates, around 110,000 joined the Saturday protest”
As most here already know, the turnout was more like 3 million. Helicopter footage shows a crowd of immense size that goes on for what seems to be forever. Starmer’s government needs to go away.
So sick of this “far right” label.
Today it means nothing more than “normal” IMHO.
I truly hope the UK and Germany save themselves.
The leftist ideology intrenched in the schools, media and government burocracy are difficult forces to overcome. At this point they are outright persecuting and oppressing those on the right, at least those that are truly conservative minded.
France, not to sure they can be saved.
Funny thing is, on the right we respect those on the left expressing their freedom of speech. I can’t stand Michael Moore and he took advantage of us troops in Iraq to make money (Farenheit 9-11). Even if I don’t like the message, I accept that others have a right to their opinion and to express this. But when the left is in power, things are very different.
His delivery was wrong. Maybe not the best message. But was he wrong regarding Iraq?
How often do you hear the MSM refer to anyone as “far left?”
Yeah, those don’t exist apparently.
Everything Conservatives do is Far Right. What used to be main stream is now Far Right. Everything Liberals do is called moderate and centrist. Nobody on the left is ever called Far Left. That mamdanny guy in New York is as far to the left as you can get but he doesn’t get any label.
Good point, not really.
He was pretty much right.
But even so, though the spirit of 9-11 was alive and people were still stirred up, you had a conservative President... I think few on the right advocated to “censor” him.
The left hits the mute button really quick.
I have an elderly relative from England who says the crowds weren't that big for VE Day in 1945.
And the King addressed those crowds.
You could argue that strategically it was the right thing to invade Iraq.
After the invasion, the Royal family in Saudi Arabia started to behave and they stopped financing terrorist groups.
And there were rumors that we were involved in the mysterious deaths of a couple of Saudi Princes in the aftermath of 9/11. It wouldn't surprise me. We may have told the Saudis if they wanted to keep their Kingdom, certain Princes had to go. And they had to look the other way.
Bkmk
And what is wrong with nationalism?
It’s a Revolution, and President Trump has led it!
