My understanding is that the suspect spoke as to why HE hated Charlie Kirk. Not the family.

Cox said Robinson talked to another family member and “THEY” talked about why they didn’t like Charlie Kirk or the viewpoints he had. The family member also said Kirk was full of hate and spreading hate.
