Editor's note: This is a preview of The Josh Hammer Report. Politics, law, and culture collide as Newsweek Senior Editor-at-Large Josh Hammer charts a path forward for American conservatism and exposes the woke Left. A voice for the New Right, Hammer delivers blistering commentary straight to your inbox every Wednesday.
In the pews of the Church of the Annunciation in Minneapolis, a place of worship was turned into a war zone. A 23-year-old assailant opened fire during a school Mass, murdering two innocent children and wounding at least 17 others before taking his own life. The horror and the carnage are unfathomable. But the broader cultural reaction has been, in its own way, equally revealing.
The media tiptoed—because the assassin identified as transgender (though not without apparent regrets).
The shooter, a biological male, had "transitioned." And with that single fact, the predictable silence set in. Liberal outlets soft-pedaled the clear motive, sanitized the narrative, and buried the lead. The shooter's vile anti-Christian, anti-Semitic screed? Brushed aside. The self-professed admiration for mass murderers? Underplayed. Why? Because it confronts head-on the single most untouchable dogma of our troubled age: that transgenderism must never, under any circumstances, be associated with pathology or mental illness.

We’re way past “conversation” and well into drawing rational conclusions from the overwhelming evidence. They are most certainly mentally ill & that fact should never have been withdrawn from the DSM. Only by arriving at blunt honesty can we ever move forward to effectively dealing with the problem.
Newsweek making sense?
What’s next, dogs and cats living together?
Exactly.
The conversation should be about how long it took people to realize boys aren’t girls and men aren’t women.
The conversation is done. Put it back in the DSM (the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of psychiatrist disorders)
“buried the lead.”
-facepalm-
I expect this from a small local, but not Newsweek.
Here’s the conversation that’s needed. I understand that you think boys can be girls and whatnot. They can’t. It is mental illness and not loving to affirm mental illness. These people are in need of serious psychological counseling and/or mental institutional support. The delusion cannot continue. Thank you for your time, this conversation is over.
When a leftist wants a “conversation”, they mean they preach and we listen and agree. No thanks.
You didn’t read it.
Conclusion:
While many demons are traditionally viewed as male, the concept of gender in demons is complex and varies across different cultures and theological interpretations. Some sources argue that demons can be genderless or assume any gender as needed.
