Rutte: NATO's presence in Ukraine not up to Russia

North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secretary General Mark Rutte insisted on Thursday that Russia does not get to decide whether the alliance will deploy its troops in Ukraine.

Speaking at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Prague Defence Summit, Rutte stressed that it is Ukraine's decision if it wants NATO's troops to act as security guarantee forces in its territory once a peace deal is struck, as it is a sovereign country. He also urged the public to stop portraying Russian President Vladimir Putin as "too powerful."

Furthermore, Rutte expressed his worries about China outpacing NATO in building military capability, especially when it comes to ships. He called on the alliance to increase its production amid the possibility of China attacking Taiwan in the future.

Ukraine isn’t even NATO. The US needs to dump NATO because the Euros want war with Russia and will get the US involved in a major way.

I am sick of this. Fight your own wars Europe. They are now tyrants and lousy allies.

Russia is economically incapable of a sustained war. The Russian economy is now on life support

Well all that does is encourage Russia to make sure there is no sovereign country called Ukraine.

I remember a discussion many years ago regarding the Warsaw Pact and Russian paranoia to establish buffers. Now you have Rutte, a man who 'failed up' after the Dutch ousted him for trying to crush farmers, talking big.

Bureaucratic creep job.

NATO merely a tentacle of the globalist cabal.

Large bureaucratic globalist criminal enterprise up against an autocratic nationalist criminal enterprise.

Gangsta warfare.

Been going on for centuries.

Life support?

The United States is $37 trillion in the hole at the federal level and another $100 trillion at the states' level.

Because NATO is providing means to defend and now to attack Russia

Very recently, a day or so ago, Putin was sent a strong message. One of his pride and joy Moscow glass sheathed skyscrapers and a major Moscow helicopter base were struck by explosive drones.

Nato is likely providing targeting intelligence and has been since day 1.

Yeah , yeah, same negative song and dance.

President Trump has imposed and is infact collecting new taxes that are known as tariffs that will be used to pay the debt.

Congress has in effect tacitly accepted the President’s gambit.

My coffee went up in price this week by 20 %

“Russia will never agree to that. Looks like another never ending war.”

When Russia gets tired of this war, they’ll put it to bed, and they have the means necessary to do that.

The same magical phrase again and again—

Once a peace deal is struck

After a ceasefire is agreed

It is always after. Never now. And if Russia does not want those people there it does have the power to prevent it, by not having a ceasefire.

This looks more and more like the EU folks desperately needing something to say. It’s always a headline that does not address that phrase until later in the article. I wonder if they’re getting paid to give these speeches, and that same speech over and over.

Ukraine will have to agree not to permit, allow or suffer foreign military personnel and military devices under foreign control within the land, sea and air under its control, or the war will continue.

The only way that Russia can put this war to bed is by going home. If you think that Russia can somehow magically flip a switch to force a Ukrainian surrender you are living in a dream world. Russia has doing all that it can for over three years to win this war. It should be clear to everyone by now that it does not have the capability.

At the beginning of the war, it seemed to me like Russia was was being a bit careful in how they were moving i.e., why we hadn’t seen a Dresden type event. That question doesn’t seem to get asked, at least publicly.
