The NOI features prominently in the museum, with exhibits offering effusive praise to the group with little mention of the organization's history of violence, anti-White radicalism, and anti-Semitism.

If there was a National Museum of White History and Culture I would be just as appalled.

Survivor Tells How 7 Moslems Died in Washington

WASHINGTON, Jan. 24—The gunmen who killed seven Hanafi Moslems at their headquarters here last Thursday entered the house under a false pretext and then methodically killed their victims one‐by‐one, according to a relative of a survivor.
The survivor, Alimna,Khaalis, Is in satisfactory condition at Howard University Medical Center. She gave a detailed description of the slayings to her father, Hamaas Abdul Khaalis, leader of the Hanafi, who recounted it during a long interview last night.
She told Mr. Hamaas that the killing of the seven, including five children, was by Black Muslims angered over his campaign to depose Black Muslim leader Elijah Muhammad in a feud over religious teachings. The Hanafi leader feels that Mr. Huhammad is a false prophet who preaches race hatred, contrary to true Islam, which Mr. Hamaas says is color blind.
Black Muslim leaders in Chicago have denied any connection with the slayings So far, they have refused comment on Mr. Hamaas’s charges.
The daughter said the men forced another survivor, Bibi Khaalis, to watch as they drowned her children. Four of the victims, all children, were drowned. One child and two men were shot to death.
The men also sought money, and ransacked the house before finding “a considerable amount,” according to sources close to the case. Neither the police nor Mr. Hamaas would, say how much was taken. It was the first disclosure that any money had been taken. Up to eight men are believed to have participated in the slayings.
Mr. Hamaas said the first two men who entered the house shouted, “This is a stickup.” Nevertheless, he insists the motive was to wipe out his family and not robbery.

Other persons close to the case said that the two men told the adults before the killings, “If you tell us where the money is, we won’t kill the children.”
The incident occurred at the three‐story stone building that was once owned by Kareem Abdul‐Jabbar, the basketball player, who changed his name from Lew Alcinder when he became a member of the Hanafi.
The wounded daughter, Almina Khaalis, was reported in satisfactory condition, able to walk around. She has been going over hundreds of photographs in an effort to identify the attacker her father said.
Bibi Khaalis, one of Mr. Hamaas’s wives (Islamic custorn allows four), was listed in critical condition, but Mr. Hamaas said that she was beginning to respond to treatment. Both women were shot several times in the head.
Mr. Hamaas said that the Black Muslim sect, in which he was once a leader, wanted to harm him in retaliation for letters he had sent to ministers of all 50 mosques of the Black Muslims.
In letters sent on two occasions to the Black Muslim ministers, Mr. Hamaas bitterly denounced the teachings of Elijah Muhammad as contrary to the Koran. He called Mr. Muhammad a “living deceiver” and urged the ministers to leave the Black Muslim faith.
Mr. Hamaas sai dhe was planning to continue his campaign and was in the process of drafting another letter.
The Hanafi leader in the interview, explained for the first time how the gunmen gained access to the house. He said his daughter, Almina, who is in her early 30’s, described the incident to him.
“A fellow had called the house on Monday saying he wanted to buy some literature [about the Hanafi]. He said his name was Tommy. She told him he could come by and pick it up.
“He called again on Thursday and said he was on the way over. My son, Daud, was at the shop [a jewelry store in the Georgetown section owned by the Hanafi], but had to go home and get some money for his mother [Khadyja Khaalis] to shop, that’s how he was at the house.
“When Tommy came over with another man, he gave Daud a bill and needed some change. Daud went to get it, and when he returned the men were inside and said, ‘This is stickup.’ The two men let five or six others in.
“They tied up all the people. Daud was killed first. He was taken to the third floor and shot. Abdu Nur was shot in a bedroom.
Mr. Hamaas said the men forced his wife, Bibi, to watch them drown two of the children in the bathtub upstairs, “and then they took her to the basement for her to watch them drown my granddaughter Tasibur [9 days old] in the sink. And then they shot Bibi.”
Woman Shot in Closet
“Abdullah [two years old] was killed [by drowning] in powder room and taken upstairs to the tub with the others. My 10‐year‐old son. Rahman Uddein, was killed upstairs on Daud’s bed.
“Almina was put in Daud’s closet and shot. The one man who took her upstairs told her, You know your father wrote those letters, don’t you? Don’t you know he can’s do anything like that?”
“She told him yes, she knew it and ‘He did it because he was right.’ The man told her, ‘Well, you come on upstairs with me.’ He put her in the closet and shot her once.
“He left her in there and she could hear them talking. One man was questioning whether she was dead. So he went back in and shot her again. Then she heard clicks as the gun jammed.”
Asked what he planned to do about the deaths, Mr. Hamaas replied: “I’m waiting to see what my country is going to do about that gang in Chicago that killed my family. I’m waiting and giving the police time.”
