Who is making new barrels to replace the ones which are worn out?

Those Czechs do like to make good firearms and ammo.

So, how many artillery rounds can we make in a month?

I’m ok with Europe paying for European wars in Europe. Please canpeace be made though because our treaties are not going to outlast the decade.

Not complaining but why is this just happening now! The critical problem has been known about since the beginning of the invasion. Bien’s handlers did NOTHING except empty our inventory while pretending to make more? Did we even pretend?

If every European country built drones for Ukraine would that make the difference. Russia doesn’t think Europe is united so Vlad plays his games.

Sad fact is the tubes ( artillery pieces) have mostly been destroyed. Plenty of shells now, but no artillery pieces or men to launch them.

Numbers:

AI says the cost of an artillery shell in Europe is $5000 each.

1.8 million X 5000 = $9B

This would be 2.5% of the GDP of the Czech Republic. Given away. Unless the EU pays.

Let the Europeans and the democrats in the USA pay for — and fight in — this war. Russia is not our true enemy.

During the battle of the Somme from July 1 to November 18, 1916, the British fired off 1.7 million artillery shells.

--- "This would be 2.5% of the GDP of the Czech Republic. Given away. Unless the EU pays."

United24 Media simply paraphrased another Ukrainian media source:

"As reported, last year the Czech Republic, with the support of allies, launched an initiative to purchase ammunition for the Armed Forces in third countries. Thanks to this, approximately 1.5 million shells of various calibres were transferred to Ukraine last year."

Ukraine expects to receive 1.8 million munitions within the «Czech initiative» - Sibig by the end of the year UkrinForum, 12 August 2025. [ machine translation from Ukrainian ]

Essentially this is press release time. No report of the actual state of the war. Likely the EU will gin up finances, as the Czech Republik alone cannot manage this. The press release says as much.
