A new poll on Tuesday shows Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton with a slight lead over Texas Senator John Cornyn, who currently holds the seat, in the primary race for Senate.

"The recent poll indicating Paxton leading Cornyn by five points in the Texas GOP Senate primary reflects Paxton's strong appeal among Trump loyalists, bolstered by his 2023 impeachment acquittal and alignment with MAGA priorities," political analyst Craig Agranoff told Newsweek via text message on Tuesday, in part.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

Cornyn desperately needs to be primaried. Paxton’s the one to do it.

I still say Cornhole got the PDJT endorsement for his vote on the OBBB.
Personally I think Trump should have told him “support my bill or you’ll never work in this town again” rather than ditch a popular MAGA candidate for that self serving baggage toting dinosaur.

Five points is not a “slight lead”.

Five points is not a “slight lead”.

Consider the source. Newsweak.

5 points isn’t within the margin of cheating.

Five points is not a “slight lead”.

Especially against an incumbent.

Cornball is already running television ads. Strange.

Sad that the lead isn’t much bigger.

Cornholio and his cronies have been unloading on Paxton because he’s a serious danger to them. For a sitting senator to be behind in the polling in a primary should be the kiss of death for his political career.

If Paxton wins, just watch. Cornholio will support the Democrat, and perhaps not just covertly.

Cornball is already running television ads.

RINOs like him run harder against conservatives than they do against Democrats. Tells you all you need to know, really.

We frequently hear that Texas is run by RINO republicans. The milk-toast attempt at redistricting (5 seats when it should have been 10), suggests that TX MAGA representation is a minority. Trump endorsing RINO Cornyn is anti-MAGA - why did he do this?

Asking our TX FReepers - can we expect a "fair" R Senate primary - or do you expect Cornyn to win by cheating?

On an AM news radio station (conservative) I heard a Texas congressman as a guest on the morning show the other day. He said that Democrats have effective control of much of the State House due to being in cahoots with RINO Republicans. That’s why they consistently get a tepid RINO elected as House Speaker in every session. It’s why no-brainer conservative legislation, like school choice and religious freedom from sodomites, can’t get a hearing.

It’s frustrating as all h*ll in the State of Texas, of all places.
