An assertion. Which American journalists have actually EMBEDDED with troops at or near the front lines? My take is that PR is "ammunition" as part of this war, as lobbying has been "diplomacy" in the war.
Europeans have all been saying one version or another of "President Turmp, do something (more)."

In late April 2025, Lancaster gave an interview to Tucker Carlson where he dismissed claims of North Korean troops in Russia, stating that he had not found them ‘not for the lack of trying’.
However shortly after, both North Korea and Russia confirmed that North Korean troops had indeed been deployed in Russia.[27][28]
Writing of Lancaster in 2022, Graham Phillips, for whom Lancaster worked as a cameraman in 2014-2015, stated that Lancaster is an “illiterate, grifting charlatan, with a journalistic acumen and ability lower than a potted plant.”
In 2025 Phillips further accused Lancaster of having stolen humanitarian aid intended for Donbas, and stated that Lancaster has Down syndrome.

I know nothing of this Patrick guy.
But I do know something about how wiki articles are formatted and standard appearance.
Someone has made the wiki a priority of trashing the guy and then lots of things quote it the trashing source. The wiki cites all appear to be Ukraine blogs or internet-only media outlets — meaning no brick and mortar office outside Ukraine.
The guy did some years in the US Navy. The miliary has an entrance exam called the ASVAB or rather the AFQT Armed Force Qualifying Test subset of ASVAB with minimum eligible score for Navy above that of Army. The cognitive deficiencies in Down’s Syndrome preclude passing the AFQT and enlisting in the Navy.
Know nothing about the guy, but the raw data says this trashing of him is bogus. Downs Syndrome not possible.

Right from the beginning of this whole cluster, near enough to half a year before Russia did anything US intel was blasting the world with full-scale invasion warnings. I was skeptical back then, thinking the Russians wouldn't fall for the trap. I was wrong.
I remain skeptical of anything US intel tries to sell through CNN, NBC and NYtimes, and doubly so when our leader is Joe Biden. I think Carlson does some good work still. Like this Lancaster guy, I don't necessarily believe anything he says but at least it's a voice from an other side. Any other side.
