The coalition of unwilling puXXies want to talk a bunch of crap, then call in Uncle Sugar to bail them out.

There will be no European Troops in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney visited Ukraine on Sunday and reportedly left open the possibility of sending ground troops to support Ukrainian defenses against Russia.

In addition to France, Britain and Estonia have openly considered the idea of sending post-war security troops to Ukraine.

It was always an EU proxy war

The Brits and Brussels managed to pull the stupid Americans in to their adventure, through their Atlanticist fellow travelers in DC and all their global multilateral institutions, media, and culture NGOs.

France summoned the Italian ambassador -and then our ambassador Charles Kushner who gave Macron a verbal walloping on the dangerously ineffective French response to antisemitism there. quite the week for Macron.

Zeepers have never cared about the EU’s involvement.

They only want to burden the US, because, well, “allies,” or something.

The entire EU looks like they only want to prance around in skin tight leather and play pianos with their privates.

I can easily see them sending trainers, support groups, and unexploded ordinance teams, but no combat units. “All hat and no cattle.”

Trump is offering air cover.

There is room for U.S. military involvement that doesn’t require American troops in Ukraine, including air or drone support or noncombat roles. In fact, a senior administration official, granted anonymity to discuss private conversations, told POLITICO on Monday that there isn’t a red line on a U.S. role, adding that the U.S. could participate in a peacekeeping force if it is the last piece required for a deal.

Most of us realized that this was really just an attempt to get Trump to commit the U.S. involvement in securing Ukraine, and that the majority of those with Trump that day had zero intention of getting their nations involved.

Doesn’t require anything except “yes. we support you”.

There really shouldn’t be a need for many troops. If you have a peace agreement and borders established, the war should stop.
Maybe some international observers.

That doesn't sound like 'ground troops'. Support and security troops are not the same as ground forces joining the Ukraine ground forces doing the fighting.

No danger in laying in front of destroyed Russian there. The Russian tanks are destroyed and they can't send any more, unless Putin wants what's left to be destroyed too.

well, except for WWII, of course ...

“But within days, the “coalition of the willing” began to fray over the issue of sending troops into the war region.”

You first.

No, YOU first.

I said “you first” first ...

“terrorists drove two trucks filled with explosives into buildings housing a multinational peacekeeping force, killing 241 U.S. service members and 58 French military and civilian personnel in Beirut.”

“’The giant, four-story building that I expected to see was so demolished that it seemed as if it had just disappeared. Through the smoke and the air filled with dust, I could see the rubble and, worst of all, the pieces of bodies strewn throughout the area’”

“While the rescue and recovery operations were underway, the peacekeeping force was under sporadic attack from snipers and artillery fire.’

“The Marines’ withdrawal from Lebanon was completed Feb. 26, 1984. The British, French and Italian forces making up the rest of the peacekeeping force withdrew about the same time.”

“You go there if you want to,” said Salvini, referring to Macron. “Put your helmet on, your jacket, get your rifle, and you go to Ukraine.”

*************

Funny how supporters want others to sacrifice when they themselves don't offer to do the same. But its all good when somebody else does it for them.
